Ron Paul's final(ish) delegate count at the RNC
Now that the delegate results from Iowa are in .....

Ron Paul should have 200 or so delegates bound to him, and an additional 200+ who are bound to other candidates. So 400+ R[evol]utionaries will be seated at the RNC. Voting on the platform. Watching RINO Romney closely.

Tread carefully Mittington J. Bilderbomneyfeller XXVII.

In damage control already for the DNC being held in:
- A state that banned gay marriage
- Has a Dem governor so deeply unpopular she's not seeking reelection
- Is a right to work state
--- Has the unions boycotting it for that fact
- Has the WV Dem leadership skipping it including Senator Joe Manchin, who has publicly considered backing Romney instead
- Is home to John Edwards' mistress
- A location where the South Carolina GOP has already promised to bombard with over 1,000 volunteers since Obama probably won't even show his face in SC unless it is to fundraise privately
- A city whose big banking is built by mega-Dem donor Hugh McColl, who isn't backing Obama this time and has held Romney fundraisers
- In a swing state where Obama is so deeply unpopular, he didn't even show up for the state Dem convention
- Will feature Obama accepting the nomination in a stadium named after somebody who took enormous amounts of bailout money?

What a rousing and vigorous defense of Paul's impact. Impressive.

Again, you decline to put forth an argument that Paul's delegate count has any real meaning. Give it a run, let's see what that argument looks like.

It is almost a quarter of the seated delegates. Romney doesn't want to have 1/4 of the convention floor revolt on his ass if he goes full Shrub on policy.

Is there something about Mitt Romney that makes you think whatever he says at the convention is going to be binding the day after? If so, you're seeing something that nobody else does.

Dear God, I agree with um on something. 03-banghead

Beverly Purdue - D (NC Gov) is truely an idiot, and will send NC to the Repubs even if GW Bush was running again. Whomever decided to have the DNC in NC is a bigger idiot than Purdue though.

Shows you the intelligence of the Dems (Dims).

Well, when they set it up, they thought it would be a toss up state and were hoping that putting the converntion there would tip the scales to the Democrats.

All the recent polls show the President within a few points in North Carolina. Deciding to have the convention there was a wise strategic choice. Virginia is now a blue state in presidential elections, so the natural progression is start working on turning purple NC into a reliably blue state too.

Um, I assure you VA is NOT a blue state. Stop watching MSNBC. Norfolk/Richmond/Roanoke are blue cities, and Obama won in 08 but little has changed from the past 30 years. Libs won regularly before. Obama lost every single county in the state in 2008.

I'd be willing to bet Obama loses VA by 8 points. 54/46 Romney or better. If you look at Ken Cuccinelli & Bob McDonnell's approval, and the 2010 elections you can see why. Ron Paul got ~44% of the primary vote in March 2012. If he runs a 3rd party he'll take Obama's votes, not Romney's.

VA blacks are fed up with Obama. VA whites are past fed up. VA implants can see they screwed their states up voting Democrat so much. I can see a 3-4 election Republican run in VA thanks to O'blame-o.

You did put a period inside quotation marks for something that is not a sentence itself. You're still an idiot.
