Soooooo irrelevant, since the term of the contract determines whether it's good-money or poor.

We should convert all such nonsense into "Per School / Year numbers.

Total amount is meaningless, since $1.5BN over 20 years clearly sucks to $1.5BN over ten years.

In this case, the expert is comparing it to the ACC. So its a 15 year agreement. Which still doesnt tell us everything because the Big East has 3 types of members---we would need to know the membership split agreements to generate per team numbers (everyone is using 70-30, but who knows if thats the final set up).

Hey everyone - the topic of this thread has nothing to do with what has become of this board.

Let's get things back on track, huh?

Amen brudda! BE Tex is not your typical Boise fan (if he is one). The bulk of the Boise fans are excited about going to the BE. I for one am excited! And this potential deal may not be 3.6b, but I can't see it being any where near the 60m either.

I find his boardname odd, as well.

Even the Boise Alumni I know in Texas would never name themselves "Tex" on boards.

Any Boise fan that wants to keep their football in MWC probably thinks the following are members of MWC as well: TCU, Utah and BYU.

Is the BIG EAST all that great right now...NO!!!...but it is still a huge step up from both the MWC & C-USA...the BIG EAST took all the best remaining members of those two leagues except Air Force.

What the BIG EAST did basically was take the "Alliance" idea "BUT" put it under the BIG EAST umbrella & without the dead weight...that why I laugh when members of those two leagues "try" to say they are close to the BIG EAST. Only ECU & USM could compete on a regular basis in Football and in the other Major Sport they would be dead weight in regards to Basketball.

Now IMO will it get the 3.6 Billion...doubtful but also very doubtful it will get the $60 Million...can very well see the 2.6 Billion over 15 years though and that would be a solid Media Deal...now if the ACC wants to just do ND or the 4/5 B1G, SEC or Big XII in the Orange Bowl then the BIG EAST needs to be talking in conjunction with ND to the Fiesta Bowl and try to work something out with the Big XII/Pac 12 with that Bowl.

2.6 billion over 15 would not be a good deal. 2.6B over 10 years would be a decent deal. Let's hope ND stays with the BE and screws the ACC. Bowl games are one area ND can help out the BE. After all, they do have a personal interest in seeing BE being a viable conference.

He's MWC Tex on the MWC Board and has the same attitude about the BSU/BE move.

All fan bases have guys like him...happy with the status quo, afraid of change...

Needs to become a Front-Range MWC school fan then. They love to think-small and have their little "Fort" up there in the Rockies.

Quo and SF, it's been real. I came up with the SIMPLE solution of putting each other on ignore, and you two couldn't even do that.

But, just this board. You two can chase each other around on realignment if you so desire.

Memphis football isn't dead weight? SMU and Houston BB aren't dead weight? The BE now has the worst football program in the entire county and two of the worst BB programs. That is the definition of dead weight.
