Kind of like the SEC/Big 12 and the B1G/PAC-10. I think the MAC should make a phone call. Couldn't hurt to try.

best case would be Big East/ACC/Notre Dame to grab the Orange Bowl....maybe Memphis could get FedEx back involved in that bowl.

it's the truth...we respect the conference we helped found...but we're also excited about our future in the Big East.

RE: OT: ACC seeks bowl partner
ACC is trying to keep from losing FSU and at least one more school to the Big 12.....and essentially keep from being regulated down to the Big East's level......tier II BCS.

Think about it:

BCS Tier I
SEC
Big 12
PAC 12
Big Ten

BCS Tier II
ACC
Big East

BCS Tier III
Mountain West
C-USA
MAC
Sun Belt
WAC

And truthfully the MAC, Sun Belt, and WAC are close to being considered BCS Tier IV. We might not like it, but the general consensus across the country is that C-USA and MWC are a bit ahead of the MAC, Sun Belt, and WAC.

CUSA is a shadow of its former self and the MWC has lost Utah, BYU, TCU, and now Boise!

I understand that. I'm talking about the general perception though. You and I might not agree with it, especially for the reasons you mentioned, but that's not what you here from people.....particularly outside of the midwest.

Don't forget the Great Midwest. Was Memphis in the Red, White or Blue division?

The people on the Great Midwest and Metro boards are really feeling slighted. Don't go over there unless you want to get flamed.

And CUSA is Sun Belt 2.0 with La Tech, North Texas, UAB, FIU, Charlotte and Old Dominion all as former members......

The MWC is the old WAC without Boise State. How can anyone think that if the old WAC with Boise State was on the same tier as the MAC and SBC that the new MWC without Boise would be somehow in a tier above it? That does not make any sense.

The MWC has the Las Vegas Bowl agreement for its champ to play the PAC just like the MAC had traditionally done with the Motor City Bowl and the B1G.....I'm not sure how an MAC vs. MWC makes sense unless you are talking about folding the game in Boise and the B1G not certifying in Detroit with enough 7 win teams.

Kind of like the SEC/Big 12 and the B1G/PAC-10. I think the MAC should make a phone call. Couldn't hurt to try.

Were not sure who exactly is going to be in the ACC in 2 years. Will Florida State and Clemson still be on board? How about Notre Dame will they be placing their basketball in a more stable situation like the ACC?

The ACC should be able to keep a tie to the Orange Bowl. They could invite the highest rated champion from the BE/MAC/SBC/CUSA/MWC to play against the ACC #1 if they wanted to.

If say Toledo had a big year and finished in the Top 10 while averaging 30,000 on the season why couldn't they be invited to the Orange Bowl?

OR

The Big East left out of the BCS bowl structure invites the top rated MAC/CUSA/MWC/SBC champion to play in the Liberty Bowl vs. Big East #1. That would make more sense geography wise than having a MAC Champ play in the Orange.

The Liberty slides to the Big East #3 the MAC could by itself offer to play the Big East in the Liberty with its champion....that is another possible solution.

OR

A bowl like the Gator or Music City could decide that instead of taking a B1G or ACC #6 or #7 which might not qualify with enough 7 win teams that it may make sense to host the MAC #1.
