Foolishness.

Future is bright for both conferences.

Much brighter than the MAC, IMO

Fans in MWC, CUSA, and Sunbelt are just gonna have to quit whining, accept their conference mates, and support the programs. Fans can't control the teams we play on the field. So just show up and cheer whether you're beating Memphis, Texas State, or Charlotte.

Well we all beat Memphis, so at least we all have that in common. 04-cheers

Honestly, I can't wait to start up a series with Ga Southern (if all goes as suspected). We still owe them. :)

We need to make a bet on who beats Memphis by the largest margin this year.

You guys ran into a buzzsaw aka Tracy Ham in 86'. He is one of our all time greats who went on to throw for over 40k yards in the CFL. Would love to see us meet again. Our coach Erk Russell also spread some of the legendary "Beautiful Eagle Creek" water into the endzone before the game.

Cool video back when Ga Southern and MTSU had a good rivalry. Ga Southern beat MTSU in the famous Hugo Bowl in Statesboro. Since the game was nationally televised on ESPN, we did not want to cancel the game despite a category 4 hurricane approaching the GA coast. It rained over 8 inches during the game with 50 mph winds.

Below is a video of MTSU beating App State and previewing the upcoming playoff game against Ga Southern the same season as the Hugo Bowl. We ended up sending our legendary coach Erk Russell out in style becoming the first program ever to go 15-0.

Below is a short documentary on the only football game ever played during a hurricane.

Did you see how he came to his "conclusion"? MAC is silent, App. St. is silent= App. St. to MAC.

I could just as easily say Arkansas State hasn't talked about moving + the Big Ten hasn't talked about expanding= Arkansas State is moving to the Big Ten.

App. St. to the MAC is an awful idea.

Yeah, these rumors coming from the MAC are just that, rumors, as far as anybody knows. There is no reason to say no to anybody, especially if you dont have two offers already in hand, which we obviously dont.

We dont dislike the MAC, we dont dislike the SB. SB looks to be the way to go at this point. We're much closer to the eastern SB schools.

I'll say one thing about the Belt-- there are some great places to travel-- Boca Raton, Nashville, Lafayette (if you've never been you are in for a treat), Mobile (never knew how nice of a city it was until I went down for a game several years ago), etc.

I'd like to add Bloone/Blowing Rock into that list of top destinations...
