Their top 5 are lame. Here are my top 5...

BSU vs EMU week 1 - Whoever loses is likely out of the MACC race.

WMU vs Toledo week 5 - WMU looking for revenge and whoever loses is likely out of the MACC race.

Ball St vs NIU week 6 - BSU looking for revenge and whoever loses is likely out of the MACC race.

Ohio vs BGSU week 11 - Whoever loses is likely be out of the MACC race.

Ohio vs BSU week 12 - Possibly a preview of the MACC.

Picks
Ohio - wins MACC 12-1 (BBVA Bowl VS USF)
BSU - wins West 11-2 (Go Daddy vs Ark St)
NIU - 10-2 (Pizza vs NU)
Toledo - 8-4 (HB vs LT)
WMU - 8-4 (no bowl game unless tie in is open)
BGSU - 8-4 (no bowl game unless tie in is open)

Their top 5 are lame. Here are my top 5...

BSU vs EMU week 1 - Who ever loses is likely out of the MACC race.

WMU vs Toledo week 5 - WMU looking for revenge and whoever loses is likely out of the MACC race.

Ohio vs BSU week 12 - Possiably a preview of the MACC.

I think our game will be second stage to Ohio @ Ball St on the same night that starts 1hr earlier.

Because Ohio almost won the MACC last year? If my aging memory is correct, I believe another team won the MACC. And Toledo is supposed to win it this year. And don't forget our 123 point game with Toledo last year, followed by Toledo getting 66 against WMU.

Ohio at BSU does NOT take second stage to NIU vs. Toledo. However, it certainly may in the minds of the ESPN doorknobs (cedit given to Alum/Nigel). But, no one ever accused any of the morons at ESPN to have a brain.

I am thinking between NIU and BSU that the Cardinals will have the upper hand and are more likely to get the W. I also expect BSU to defeat Toledo the week before the Toledo/NIU game.

I believe that Ohio is most likely to be the MAC East representative. Their OOC schedule is easy enough again that they could make some noise in the national picture leading up to this game.

In this alternate world I would expect BSU to defeat Ohio then lose to them in the MACC.

That is why I picked the games how I did.

HuskieJohn, what makes you think Ball St is going to leap frog NIU, Toledo and WMU...not to mention an EMU squad right on their heels?

What is the hard-on for BSU for? Do you really see them as better than NIU, Toledo, and WMU?

RE: Five Games to Watch in the MAC
Ball St schedule:

Aug. 30 *Eastern Michigan
Sep. 8 at Clemson
Sep. 15 at Indiana
Sep. 22 South Florida
Sep. 29 *at Kent State
Oct. 6 *Northern Illinois
Oct. 13 *Western Michigan
Oct. 20 *at Central Michigan
Oct. 27 at Army
Nov. 6 *at Toledo, 8:00 pm ET (ESPN2)
Nov. 14 #*Ohio, 8:00 pm ET (ESPN2/ESPNU)
Nov. 23 #*at Miami, (ESPNU/ESPN3)

There is no way they are winning out at home AND only losing one of the following road games @Clemson, @Indiana, @ARMY, @CMU, @Toledo, @ Kent and @Miami

Its more likely they go 1-6 on the road than 6-1.

Come on guys its the MAC anything can happen.
Did anyone pick Miami to get 10 wins in 2010?

Here is my reasoning that I pulled out of my backside...
BSU vs EMU - last year this was a tight game at EMU this year as a home opener they take care of business.

BSU at Clemson - They don't win but they gain some confidence in what they are doing.

BSU at Indiana - The defeat them the 2nd year in a row.

BSU vs USF - They take the BE opponent down because of what they learned vs Clemson

BSU at Kent St - No problem here

BSU vs NIU - Revenge and trophy game on a Saturday in October. Maybe their homecoming game also.

BSU vs WMU - If they defeat NIU they will have their fans show up to help them get the job done at home.

BSU at CMU - No problem here

BSU at Army - Late in the season the Army O is slowed by injury of always running the ball.

BSU at Toledo - Toledo just blows it.

BSU vs Ohio - They could be hosting and undefeated and ranked Bobcat team on national television when they could be in the lead of the MAC West.

BSU at Miami - Don't need to win this one to go to the MACC but power through with no problem.

BSU vs Ohio - MACC - BSU loses the game much like they did in 2008 and Ohio finally wins the MACC.

I just think they are the sleeper team that will sneak up on everyone.

RE: Five Games to Watch in the MAC
I'll go with the following:

BSU vs EMU - Win
BSU at Clemson - Loss, ACC country against defending champs...no way
BSU at Indiana - Loss, no way they win 2 years in a row
BSU vs USF - Loss, USF was ranked in the Top 25 last year and beat BSU 37-7.
BSU at Kent - Win
BSU vs NIU - Loss, sorry but you guys still have a jaugernaut
BSU vs WMU - Loss, cuz there is no way I'm conceding that BSU has leapfrogged us this year
BSU at CMU - Toss up, 3 years in Enos' system and more experience has the Chips slightly more competitive this year
BSU at Army - Loss, stopping the run that late in the year on the road isn't happening
BSU at Toledo - Loss, no way is Toledo letting this season slip away
BSU vs Ohio - Toss up, BSU won last year when Ohio missed a game tieing field goal at end of regulation. Bobcats want revenge
BSU at Miami - Win, cuz the East flipping stinks

That's 3 wins, 7 losses, and 2 toss ups.

Being really really optimistic...I'll say they take care of the toss ups and win one game that I have pencilled in for a loss.

6-6 for BSU this year

Army rushed for over 300 ypg in the last four games of the 2011 season. Yes, we rushed for below our season average in those games, but it was more because those games were against teams that which know us quite well (we've played Temple & Rutgers every year since 2007; the other two of the final four opponents were AF & Navy).

2012 could certainly be a challenge for us late in the season -- we play 11 games in 11 weeks (Ball State is the 8th of those 11).

Also you guys should have beaten AF & Navy last year.

Ya the 11 games in 11 weeks is going to take a toll on a running based team. Just how bad is the question.
