Real Rustonites realize the importance of Louisiana Tech doing well...in a community the size of Ruston, as LaTech goes, so goes the town.

Air Force and Boise State take the rest of their sports to the Big Sky, while the Big West houses San Diego State's sports other than football. If the Big East and Big Sky/Big West snarf another member from the Pacific Division, the WAC admits Cal State-Bakersfield.

The Texas schools and Louisiana schools head to Conference USA:

C-USA West - UTEP, UTSA, Texas State, Rice, UT-Arlington, Tulsa
C-USA East - Louisiana Tech, Tulane, Southern Miss, UAB, East Carolina, Marshall

If UT-Arlington isn't ready to go in football right away, C-USA could invite UMass for football only with the intention of bringing Charlotte for football-only when UT-Arlington is ready.
