RE: 2012 Recruiting Thread
The Boston College message board said they had an Ohio athlete commit this weekend. Bryce Jones visited them this weekend so that would be my guess.

He said he's undecided on if he will still take his visit to NIU. But yes, he gave BC his verbal. After his visit to Air Force last week he still had BC #1 and Air Force #2 with NIU #3.

He's scheduled to visit NIU on 1/27, any way to find out if that's still on?

Thanks, I was just wondering. We must have been posting at the same time.

Rivals had BC & NIU as "High" and Air Force as "Medium" maybe he dropped AFA under NIU after thinking about it.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but per his Twitter, Devin Church has dumped NIU for the Illness. I only discovered it because one of CMU's commits tweeted a congrats. Sorry about that guys.

Beckman can't beat NIU for recruits at Toledo, so he calls on them from the big ten.

Hey Back(door)man, how about scheduling NIU 1:1. Make it happen Timid B.

RE: 2012 Recruiting Thread
I do believe that NIU has been recruiting a lot of RBs but not offered many. This is why. NIU should pick up another RB verbal soon.

EDIT: These are 17 or 18 year old kids. It's a lot more about development than most people understand. Ain't nothing happening in Chitpained-Turdbana.

Kids making "reservations". They commit so they know they have a landing spot in a lot of cases.

These last few weeks are when our Big 10 neighbors always swoop in for the poaching. Wouldn't be surprised if we lose one or two more besides Church.

You gotta be concerned with the ones that were offered by Timid Beckman at Toledo but chose NIU. I think there's at least 1 more 3* (Rivals) recruit that fits this bill.

EDIT: There are three Rivals 3* commits that were offered by Toledo, all from the state of IL.

I think there was a RB from WI (Racine/Kenosha area maybe) that was similar to Church. He may get offered soon.

Maybe NIU needs to "steal" some other MAC verbals.

Here's who I was thinking of. He's committed to Navy, but I wonder if he'd reconsider NIU now that he'd be the highest rated RB for this recruiting class.
