1. USF - Really great logo and very recognizable. 1) Gold, 2) Green, 3) White
2. Cincinnati - Another great reconizable logo. I liked the paw "C" before the las revision, but it's still cool.
3. SMU - Clean, crisp and professional looking.
3. Louisville - Clean, crisp and professional looking. I like the white facemask. UofL is really tied for 3rd with SMU. I'd like it more if the black stripes touched the red stripe.
5. UConn - Very plain, but unique looking "C".
6. Boise St. - I like it, but it's kinda busy. I like the big Bronco logo if it were on both sides of the hemet.
7. UCF- It's clean and professional looking. It's a gret improvement on the old helmets.
8. Rutgers - It's pretty plain.
9. Houston - Nothing wrong with them, I just don't like the way the "U" and "H" sit together. I wish they'd drop the "U" and go with a single "H".
10. San Diego St. - I'm sorry Aztec fans, I just don't like your helmet. Thankfully that's just one man's opinion. I think the Aztec character profile should be on the side of the helmet. If not that, than the interlocked SD with spear.

Excluding the Coogs since I am biased towards them, I like Louisville's the best.

Everyone made some good choices. Here are my top 10

1. UH - Classic.
2. Louisville - Different from everyone. Reminds me of that one NFL team.
3. UConn - Sometimes simple is the way to go. I think they got it right.
4. Cincinnati - The "C" paw is cool.
5. SMU - Well, we know who they are.
6. Rutgers - Clean... Enough said.
7. UCF - Color combination seems right.
8. Boise St. - And like army56mike stated above, only if the big Bronco logo were on both sides of the helmet.
9. San Diego St. - A little to crowded for me. However, if the helmet had just the spear you all will be in my top 5.
10. USF - Sorry Bull fans, but the "U" with horns attached is not for me. Either drop the horns or the U.

I thought the blue horse head alt versions with the #s on one side looked good last night:

Not gonna happen. The USF logo will never be changed. It is unique and recognizable, and I don't see this logo ever being changed. They may change color schemes, uniforms, etc. but the Iconic U Bull Logo will remain.

Hey, I like how the U and the H are interlocked. (My avatar says it all, really.) I understand what you're saying; I just think you're wrong. (Also, we don't want to be like Hawaii or Harvard.) (Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but there's a reason our helmet logo is the way it is.)

I grew up with the Coryell era plain scarlet lids and actually disliked the block AZTECS (below) when they introduced them. I came to accept them as they identified the team quite clearly, especially when they were on TV but I'm not as opinionated about our helmet designs just as long as the lids are scarlet... and our home unis remain the traditional all-black.



I'm also not a huge fan of (nor do I particularly dislike) our primary logo but since the athletic department seems committed to it as our branding we might as well display it as prominently as possible. As it stands now you can't even read what the current helmet stickers (below) even say unless a TV camera zooms in on the helmet, there just isn't enough contrast between the red helmet and the black lettering. At least the old block AZTECS was legible from far away.

Really liked the Rutgers black hemets.
Liked the old Pitt in cursive versus block lettering.
Obviously like the C-Paw.

Also, I liked ASU's old helmet much better (the grinning devil with the pitchfork). The new one is good, but why change something that worked?

I hate our AZTEC Helmets. We already have great colors. The SD is our trademark logo and it appears nowhere on our uni. Put the SD on our helmet SDSU! Time for SDSU to get a Nike Pro Combat overhaul. Sorry old timers... You are in the minority on this one.

A new era of Aztec football deserves a new era of iniform. Time to move forward and modernize. Like it or not the SD is our trademarked logo. Style and trademarking do matter when it comes to marketing SDSU's name brand. The Big East is well aware of this. Prime example was the ad run in NY Times Square... The SD IS our logo.

Yes the "DS" has been forced down our throats. It has actually grown on me a little, but I still think it is a terrible logo. JMO

I would like to see us go back to "A Z T E C S". That is who we are.
