LCPB Ticket Sales
This is a twitter post from a guy that works for the Lafayette Courier.

Western Michigan, #Purdue's 12/27 opponent in Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, has sold about 4,500 tickets. #Purdue was at 3,884 as of Tuesday

The WMU count should go to say 10 - 12K, I'd think.

I just hope the WMU fans appreciate how good their 7 - 5 team is.

With a few breaks, 8 - 4 or 9 - 3 was possible.

I must be hungry because I read that as Lafayette Coney.

RE: LCPB Ticket Sales
I presume these are sales numbers from the school's athletic departments. Given a decent number of friends and alumni from both schools living in the metro Detroit area, I wonder what the multiplier will be attendance-wise?

By the way, Flint-style coneys are 10x better than the Detroit-style.

RE: LCPB Ticket Sales
My roommates parents got tickets from a website like stub hub. Same price and the seats were at the 50 unlike WMU that was selling in the end-zone for the same price.

RE: LCPB Ticket Sales
I was actually surprised that Purdue has sold that many. Sounds like it should end up being a decent crowd.

Doubt it. That would definitely exceed my expectations.

CMU vs. Purdue had 61K, which got close to selling out. But CMU was coming off back-to-back MAC championships. We're riding in at 7-5 and I don't expect our bandwagon of casual fans to be quite as full. I'm thinking 40-45K (which for a "minor bowl" is always a fine turnout). Anything more than that is gravy.

Weather is also a wildcard, and hopefully it'll be fine. We've barely had any snow around here so far this winter - today it feels downright springlike. I hope winter isn't saving itself for a monster storm for right around that day.

Yes, anything over 45K would be a real plus....unless weather is awful, I am pretty sure this match-up will produce a crowd of 40k min.

I don't believe it has ever sold out. Came close a few times, but Ford Field seats 65,000.

The Lions have a game there on Saturday, and then the LCPB is Tuesday. Doesn't give them a whole lot of time to "paint" the field and clean things up with Christmas on Sunday.

Believe you are correct, Brian.

I believe CMU/Purdue drew 61K.

41,398 would be a good number.

Only if they kill you before you order, which is highly probable.
