Jas
Okay, I've been down on him all year but the last two games he has really stepped up. He has run extremely hard and really helped us win that Balls State game. Okay so he's no Turner or Wolfe but he's really shown me something last week.

I guess his toe wasn't bothering him...if it was even injured in the first place!

RE: Jas
In the Press Conference Quotes from this week, Doeren stated that Jas is finally healthy. That is probably why his production has gone up.

RE: Jas
When I re-watched the game I was really impressed with the way Jas played. Check this run as an example: Ball State blows up the play and he still gets 12 yards. Great job Jas!

RE: Jas
I listened to the D Doeren mid week press conference and he stated that people had no idea what injuries Jas played with this season and he did say that he is finally getting healthy. I take him at his word and a Healthy Hopkins means a better chance to win this Friday and hopefully next Friday as well.

Doeren is old school about not talking about injuries and I like that. It does mean that sometimes some of us misjudge a player or two.

Next big question: who steps up next yr at RB position? WOmble? Settle? Daniels? I don't have a real good feeling about any one of these guys.....is there anyone else waiting in the wings?

Settle and Daniels.

I still don't understand why we played Settle this year. Should have redshirted him.

RE: Jas
I think Settle is a stud and can be Wolfe or Spann. When Hopkins was hobbled by the toe, why didn't Doeren play the other guys more and give Jas a chance to heal and be at full speed earlier? It's not like we didn't have better options than an injured Jas.

RE: Jas
Jas had a terrible game. If Ohio stops the Harnish runs we are in trouble.
