So that would be offer 77 yes? Just as much as we offered last year but in 5 months time.

That is true, but other MAC schools have picked up the pace also. WMU:175 offers, Toledo 141, BG 112, Ball ST. 108, Buffalo 102 etc. I think we shall have a great class with our more selective bias.

These are the ones that are reported. We are a MAC program. The services only care about the big time programs. ND, Michigan, OSU etc. That is were they make their money. If the miss recording an offer from NIU, they could care less, probably less than 1% of the people on this board pay for the premium features offered by Rivals, Scout, Maxpreps, etc.
That is why I only talked about other MAC programs, not ND, OSU, Mich.etc.

What I am saying is we could have 50 offers more out there and we would not know unless you are talking to the NIU Recruiting Coordinator.

04-jawdrop I think they will want him to drop some weight... unless he is freakishly built!

RE: 2012 Recruiting Thread
It is Raymond Marlow from Dayton and from the only picture I saw of him he seemed to carry the weight well. I think he is similar in size to the Herron kid from Indiana. Get both of those guys and then move one of them to guard to go along with Ruka.

Still have a chance at this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmZYKfN_3qU

Quote:Smith weighing options: Early in his recruiting process, Bremen running back David Smith (6-1, 190 pounds) thought Indiana was a leader, but he said he's reconsidering all schools.

"I feel that I'm pretty much back to square one with everyone these days," Smith said. "I still really like schools like Indiana, but I also want to look again at everyone this summer before I announce any favorites or a top schools list."

Smith has offers from Arizona, Central Michigan, Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Oregon State, Purdue, Toledo, Western Michigan and West Virginia.

And this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFFKwVbLIjc

Quote:Ippolito's strong summer: Neuqua Valley defensive end Michael Ippolito (6-4, 240 pounds) is having an impressive summer, and his stock has taken off.

He said he has offers from Central Michigan, Northern Illinois, Akron, Bowling Green, Air Force, Illinois State and Bryant. Northwestern and other Big Ten schools have shown interest.

"I camped at NIU, and they offered me after the one-day camp," Ippolito said. "I was also able to perform well at a few other one-day camps this summer, and schools have really picked things up with me."

RE: 2012 Recruiting Thread
Smith would be a nice pickup and would have a lot of success in our system. Ippolito reminds me of Brandon Bice, same number even.

Smith's offer list includes too many BCS teams for us to get serious attention. He was going to camp at ND this summer too.

Ippolito is the type of player NIU should be hitting hard. He would be close to home so family and friends could come see him play.
