I am really pumped up seeing the RedHawks back in the bowl again. By all accounts, the players and fans have really enjoyed their week down in Mobile......great weather (sunny and in the hi 50's mostly), the parade, etc. A nice reward for the coaches and players!

As for the game, despite all the "back and forth" with our "friends" here from the Sunbelt, I have no clue as to how this one will turn out. As many have noted, Miami barely squeaked by a number of poor teams this year and got blown out by the better teams, but I do think our very young team jelled as the season progressed and our wins against Temple and NIU give me confidence we will win tonight if we play to our capabilities. Most folks over at the Miami Hawktalk board expect a close game.

So, let's GGGOOO REDHAWKS!

C'mon JCrewU! I need you to win to have any shot in my office pool.

Please win Miami, so we don't have that 0-3 vs. Sun Belt dark cloud over the message boards for the next x number of months.

Hopefully, they'll respect you enough to not do that. Their league has rewards to focus on that I would think would mean much more than beating three MAC teams in bowl games--like the Bowl Challenge Cup.

Phil Steele is picking you guys to lose due to coaching turnover like NIU. His same reason for picking Fresno.

Probably better for your school to lose Haywood than deal with his drama right now before a bowl game.

Suck it, Miami. I don't buy the conference unity thing in bowl games; this is a glorified exhibition and I would rather my rivals lose.

Either way, you can't spell dOUche without an O and U! (Uh, by the way, winning a bowl game, along with the MACC is pretty sweet, eh, OhioU?

Not as sweet as winning the MAC tournament then beating Georgetown.

The difference, of course, is that Ohio beat Miami along the way to its title. Miami can't claim the same this year.

P.S. Enjoy your win over the RedHawks...last time I checked you got blown out in your bowl game, Miami won the MAC East, the MAC title, and the Mobile Bowl. Did I miss anything, dude?

You know this only counts for football, right? A sport that I don't even like? And you've taken this waaaaaaaaaay too seriously?

Time to say goodnight, Ozoner..you and I obviously have differing points of view. I always root for non BCS teams and esp for all MAC teams...if you root against your MAC brethran in bowls and in NCAA' b-ball tourneys, so be it. Enjoy the hate.
