GoDaddy.com Bowl (Gameday Thread)
Officials for tonight's GoDaddy.com Bowl will be from the Southeastern Conference.

I am curious to see how Austin Boucher and the Miami O-Line will respond to Middle Tennessee State's blitzing defense which ranks 14th in the nation is sacks per game and 14th in the nation in tackles for loss. The Redhawk offensive line has seen at least one team this year that sacks quarterbacks and tackles like nobody's business and that was Kent State (ranked 9th in sacks per game and 3rd in tackles for loss), but Boucher did not play in Miami's game against Kent (a team the Redhawks still struggled to beat).

Middle Tennessee State brings the best of Kent State and Ohio all in one. This will be a very interesting game, but I'm still leaning toward Middle Tennessee State because that team is playing with a chip on its shoulder and the 6-6 record is very deceiving.

Really, how pathetic are the MAC and Sun Belt when people post stuff like this? Analagous to "Journey brings the best of Lover Boy and White Lion all in one".

Miami didn't have the "complete" O-Line together then either, now we do! They finally have been only playing together full strenth the last couple games.

Who were they missing and when did they get them back?

Pathetic? Like trying to suggest a win over 4-8 Purdue automatically makes your team unbeatable to Sun Belt schools?

Obviously you missed the point I was making when I was referring to Kent's ability to establish good fieldposition and pressure the quarterback coupled with Ohio's ability to run the football which Miami was not able to stop.

In this instance you throw the season records out and look at individual strengths in specific areas.

Looks like another "unknown" that should be considered. I didn't realize that Miami was missing some key O-lineman. Still, Temple and Northern Illinois aren't ranked very high in sacks per game or tackles for loss compared to Middle Tennessee State, so it will be interesting to see how this one pans out.

No, that would be stupid, not pathetic. I already gave the pathetic analogy. Perhaps, you're not familiar with bad 80's hairbands.

Sure, I grew up in the 80's, but it was the style then like the Flock of Seagulls!

Miami LB's looked bad on those last few plays before the TD. #30 needs to straighten up.

Miami must play against the run. MTSU will pass, but they are going to try to knock Miami off balance by the running the ball more. So far, MTSU is doing exactly what they need to do in order to win this game.

Still early.

4:37 1st quarter

MTSU 7
Miami 0

Boy, Nick Harwell is something nice for Miami! Another good return! Too bad for the hold.

Geez! Armand Robinson is really tearing it up for Miami! 70-yard catch and run to set-up the Redhawk score on the last drive and now a 36-yard run on the last play to set up Miami close to midfield.

My goodness! Between Nick Harwell and Armand Robinson, I don't know that MTSU is going to be able stop Miami from scoring every time they go on offense at this rate.
