RE: Final Big East avg attendance
The Rutgers game hurt WVU's overall figure. Only 48,000 or so turned out to see the rout - with the conference BCS bid on the line. It dropped WVU's average by more than 1000/game. That's pretty apathetic, and not a good sign at all...

Bit that game was mostly a referendum on Bill Stewart.

I'm sure it was. There's a large portion of the fanbase that is never going to take to Stew...

Bobby Bowden, despite his success in Morgantown, suffered under the same perception problem. It was only AFTER he left that people realized what a great coach he was...

Yes, and it was senior-day to boot. Poor showing by WVU fans.

USF will do better next year with FAMU, Miami, West Virginia, Louisville and Cincy on the home schedule.
Odd years we have more attractive opponents at home

Hopefully your move to the Big East will increase this number to >50k.

Poor showing by WVU fans?

Didn't USF just draw 30,815 fans for their senior day, which just followed their win at Miami?

PS. Apologize facts were deleted in other post.

Not going to happen in the short term as their new stadium is going to reduce their seating.

You know full well what you were doing. Now if you want to continue posting "facts" to take pot shots at USF then I will remove them to the smack board. Maybe if you want to talk about attendance issues you might want yo post the REAL attendance numbers at UCF other than the championship game.

Its obvious that you missed the irony of a USF Fan calling out WVU in regards to fan support.

The Rutgers game was not a referendum on Stewart. Please, I go to WVU. The reason so many didn't come is that it was like below 20 degrees the entire day. It was freezing. I only stayed one half because it was bone chilling.

I dont think there is a single USF fan that would compare WV fan support to USF's. But the thread was pointing out that for WV that was a bad fan turnout.
Now that is not an opening for you to bring up all your saved internet reports on USF attendance to take a pot shot at the Bulls.
If you really want to ADD to the discussion on this board then you must control your urge to look for any openings that would allow you to bash USF.

We are hoping it is for a very very short term. We could go to 50k when the east side is redone and we have more than 30 million raised to do just that.

We crammed 50K into ACS for the Utah game last year proving that demand for that capacity can be reached. We also had 3 standing room only games this year for Baylor, Air Force, and San Diego St.
