Cool, it was hard to see in the original pictures. How does this compare with the other MAC facilities, average? above average?.

I'm a college baseball junky so I always like to see other people's facilities.

Very similar to Toledo's which could use a little pizazz.

Ohio has a 3,000 seat baseball stadium with indoor batting cages and hosts a rookie league team (Southern Ohio Copperheads).

So that's what? A mural with all those trees back there, Tom? You know, the big green things showing clearly in your picture that line the entire back of the UT dugouts? Aside from the obvious, and spectacular, oversight here, I gotta agree-UT's baseball facility is weak and not having it on the main campus I don't like.

I was in Charleston earlier this year and they have a gorgeous park. Well away from campus but it was everything a college ballpark should be. I'd love to have a facility like that. Of course the trees there are palms which helps. Or should I say the tress there are palms-that's for you , VE>

So it looks like most MAC facilities are pretty similar, Ohio is the nicest of those posted so far.

RE: BG Baseball's New Dugouts
Obviously not a fair comparison because college baseball is a different animal in the south, but here is a shot of TCUs Lupton Stadium. I expect a expansion in the next few years because we are about 80% capacity on just season tickets.

Its a nice stadium but its odd that TCU or Rice draw so well in baseball.

I could see it at LSU or Texas as an alternative to getting involved with pricey football tickets.

Who exactly goes to these TCU baseball games?

Baseball games were fairly popular for TCU students when I went to TCU, and I assume they still are. Probably more popular than the men's basketball games. Besides that I would say that most of the people that go are young alums with families who live in Fort Worth. I think many use it as a cheaper alternative to the Rangers for family entertainment.

Plus baseball is pretty popular in Fort Worth, the Fort Worth (and surrounding area) high school programs have produced a lot of kids who have gone on to play D1 and professional baseball.

TCU finished #19 nationally in attendance last year at 3,127 per game (capacity 3500 in seats, we have had over 5k including SRO), but that is still a far cry from Texas at 6,571 or LSU at 10,655.

Good to see BG spending the $ on baseball, hope that doesn't impact the men's hockey program.

We're about 3/4 of the way to having all of our hockey scholarships endowed. Men's hockey will be safe for a long, long time.

The ball park in the link seats 3,000? Looks more like 300. It looks very nice though.
