So who gets the #4 seed?
http://bull-run.blogspot.com/2010/03/miami-who.html

If UB Wins they will be the fourth seed and host which ever team gets the honor of hosting Toledo in the first round. That's the easy one.

If Buffalo loses then two key games in the west determine our fate Central Michigan at Eastern Michigan, and Ball State at Western Michigan. Once the West winner is ferreted out then the remaining teams have head to head to head records compared (thats not a type), then record against highest seeds, and then a coin flip.

CMU (9-7) beats EMU (8-8) and BSU (9-7) beats WMU (7-9)

- West Winner: BSU wins via their victory over Miami
- CMU (1-1), Miami (2-1), Buffalo (1-2): CMU takes #4, Miami #5 (Hosts Toledo), and Buffalo #6 (Hosts NIU)

CMU (8-8) loses to EMU (9-7) and BSU (9-7) beats WMU (7-9)

- West Winner: EMU because of their win over Akron
- BSU (2-0), Buffalo (1-2), Miami (1-2): BSU takes #4, Buffalo takes #5 (Hosts Toledo), Miami takes #6 (Hosts NIU)

CMU (9-7) beats EMU (8-8) and BSU (8-8) loses to WMU (8-8)

- CMU, Obviously wins the West
- Miami (1-1) and Buffalo (1-1) : Buffalo takes the #4 seed because of a 1-1 record against Kent/Akron) and Miami takes the #5 seed.

CMU (8-8) loses to EMU (9-7) and BSU (8-8) loses to WMU (8-8)

- EMU wins the west
- Miami (1-1) and Buffalo (1-1) : Buffalo takes the #4 seed because of a 1-1 record against Kent/Akron) and Miami takes the #5 seed.

My first season worrying about the tie breakers, do I have it right?

Easy? EASY? You do know that we have a longer win streak than half the teams in the conference, right?

In your first scenario, (CMU, Ball State, and Miami winning tonight) I think Miami would be #4 and CMU #5.

Relax, I meant thats the easy one to figure out... e.g. If UB Wins the #4 slot is UB's without any worry about the permutations in the West...

How long have you been reading my stuff? I'm pretty sure nobody , anywhere is more relaxed than I. My cheek is a little sore from having my tongue so far into it, though. I guess I still gotta use the little smiley-03-wink
