Speaking of strange
Have you ever seen a game where a team is behind 2-0 before the game starts? I didn't see Courtney dunk the ball, but I'll be he'll remember not to do that again. But it was pretty chicken of the UNO coaches to call it to the refs attention. They probably wouldn't have called it otherwise. Bush league. They deserve to be in DIII.

Has someone been reading the board?
Finally put his best lineup on the floor last night and left them in there for most of the game. I wonder how many more games we night have won had we followed this procedure all season. But that's just speculation. Might have ended up the same, but at least we'd have known we were giving it our best shot.

According to Gutterhelmet, Shields is an "evil genius" and we will see his genius in due time. (Due time is probably sometime after I have shuttered littlerocktrojans.com.)

I have. I believe it was just last season when one of opponents did it and we shot free throws prior to tip. I can't remember which team it was.

How do you know they called it to the refs attention? I wouldn't think that the officials would call it if they didn't see it. And if they did, he shouldn't have been dunking the ball, he knows it's against the rules.

That was what was reported in the paper this morning. It said the UNO coaches reported it to the officials. Very strange, however it occurred.

I take no credit. Just happy to see our best lineup out there for most of the game, and the kids get a win. If we're unhappy, think of those kids, who work their butts off every day in practice and in games, and have to play through this kind of season. It's just nice to see a smile on their faces after a game.

The officials are SUPPOSED to monitor it and there not be a need to point it out. Just because they pointed it out doesn't mean the official didn't respond that he saw it and it would be called.
I think it is a dumb rule but it would dumber to turn down a chance to take a 2-0 lead.

I guess when you're dropping out of the league, it doesn't really matter what you do. You aren't going to see these guys again ever, so why not take advantage of anything you can.

I've seen it several times. You probably see it more often at high school games.

It is a dumb ass rule. If they can dunk in the game, why can't they dunk in warmups? But, no official is going to call a technical if they didn't see it themselves. And yes, how many games are decided by two points or less? Courtney should have been put on the bench to start the game. He knew the rule.
