Just like all of Enron's shady accounting practices were approved in advance by the SEC. Of course, on his trips to Washington to meet with the SEC, Ken Lay just happened to stay in the Lincoln Bedroom. Not that anyone on the SEC staff was influenced by that in any way. Those were sound accounting practices that they approved, and they knew it.

O'reilly has never said "shut up" to a guest.
O'reilly has never called anyone "unpatriotic", not even Barney Frank or Judges that let convicted child rapist off to re-offend again.
However when guests get off point and start ranting, he does stop them. Mike off, only to the very worse.
When I watch O'reilly, he has presented points of view from both sides, which the other networks do not.
That is why Fox dominates and leaves the others in the dust.

I think it is funny that no matter how true something is Fox News supporters will always lie to protect the image.
It is quite obvious how Fox News treats guests that they don't agree with yet FN is so "fair and balanced". An absurd and boldface LIE.
I can post many, many more of these type of videos that explicitly show how Fox News and its contributors are NOT fair and balanced and how they will all flat out lie to protect their own ideals.
Defend it if you want. There is a mountain of video evidence, that the morons at Fox News have so graciously presented us with, showing how twisted and sick they all are.

Unfortunately, there are zero centrist ones.
News Hour with Jim Lehrer is pretty damn balanced. Of course, his guests don't yell and scream at each other on air, so I guess no one's really interested in watching that.
I feel lame for saying it but PBS is the only news I can watch on TV anymore for exactly what you said. I love it when Brooks is on there, and he's debating some other guy, and the two actually have a discussion and an analysis without screaming. I agree, it makes for boring television, since all they're doing is being intelligent, but I love it. Plus, I love that PBS has no production value and it's basically just Lehrer sitting at a desk with a little graphic, reporting the news, not passing his unqualified commentary off as journalism alongside gimmicky holograms and touch maps. It's good stuff. Maybe a little to the left but not bad at all.

the Regulation that would've done the most to prevent the Real estate collapse would've been to never had Congress create Fannie/Freddie and the CRA.
Fannie and Freddie were LYING, they classified mortgages as Prime but were really Sub-Prime. The Investment banks bought what they thought were Prime Loans, but really subprime and calculated their risk accordingly. Creating a disaster. Probably one of the biggest Political/Financial Scandals in US History, scantly reported.
That was the big bomb of the problem, other than that there were some other idiocies associated. Also having nothing to do with "De-Regulation": Individuals Lying on their mortgage applications, coveting what they couldn't afford. Some bad businessmen being to PC, The Fed keeping Interest Rates too low too long..
I don't see how this is good for anyone. IMO, Fox does as much to lower the quality of political debate as any other news network. Doesn't matter which side of the spectrum a network supports, if all they can say is, "it's the other side's fault," they aren't helping raise the level of discourse.
actually, if more Fox News(or better, more conservative) outlets popped up, we'd be getting closer to the corrupt media of the Founding Fathers era. Very partisian, and didn't lie to themselves about "Neutrality" and "Objectivity" and tried to maske their views.
90% of national journalist are libs, its way out of balance. Obama is the fruits of that.
PBS/Lehr can be every bit as deceitful as the rest. Generally more in the area of Ommissions, but still spin. Every Human stands somewhere on every issue, its a charade to present it as "objective"

If you add up the viewers from CNN and MSNBC you'd see Fox if kicking the crap out of them.
That is because retired white senior citizens(which make up most of the Republican party) have nothing better to do with their lives than watch Faux while the younger more liberal people have lives outside of watching tv. You know, things like working, dating, etc.
Young libs don't date or work, in between abortions they smoke pot, hug trees and look for things to protest.
Well, right now you are probably right, many probably don't work. THe jobs that young liberals take are being filled by older people from both parties because there are no other jobs out there. Thanks to the Republican policies.
Just for the record, what republican policies, and how did they cause the lack of jobs?
Trickle down, "greed is good", few regulations leading to bubble economy.
OK, you've got the talking points memorized. Can you explain HOW the causation worked?
Well, the wealthy get wealthier. They put that money into savings/investments and not into their business thus not hiring new people. I guess the second part is similar. THey grab more and more money for themselves so they can live the high life by cutting jobs for workers. As for the last part, the banking regulations that allowed the banks to become casinos. It is all good until the gambling ballon bursts and everything comes crashing down. It is all cyclical. The profits drop they lay people off. THe people they let go lose their house and assets, thus smaller businesses don't get the sales making them cut jobs and/or go out of business. On and on.
Please tell me that this is a joke. Here's how capitalism works: Those old people put their money into savings/investments which are lent to business so they can hire people and purchase capital. Even if they do grab more and more money and spend it on a high life, that also creates more jobs. All the people who make the things they buy or provide them a service receive income. If banks gamble, let them keep their profits when they succeed and let them lose everything when they fail. Someone else will get their money when they fail. What we have now is corporate socialism, private profits and socialized loses. It creates moral hazard and encourages them to gamble even more than they already were because they're "too big to fail."
Ok, put your Ayn Rand book down and look at the real world. It doesn't work the way you claim.
I listen to BBC on XM. They lean left, but without the US partisan spin.
Fox leans right, everybody else leans left. Fox could claim to be "fair and balanced" in the sense that it's rightward lean offsets the leftward lean elsewhere, but that's the extent of it.

You're dreaming.... FOX is live, for the most part. The younger minds fulla mush are going to get a real dose of reality when all this crap comes crashing down around their little head. The expense of it all will be unbearable. Maybe the more mature ones will save their lousy selves after all. Then they may be able to say "Thank You" ... we'll see.

Do you beleive they report with false information?? My take is that they are pretty much first with the story, because they are "Live" and second they get to the meat of the story and stick with it. The rest of the news sources nbc, cbs and others are just BS fluff stories.

Just my ho.
I would add that Obama has done interviews with just about anyone with a microphone with the exception of Fox. He knows the liberal media outlets will let him use that air time to get his message out while Fox will ask him about his broken promises, transparency being one of them, special health care deals for unions, the buying of congressional and senate votes, etc. In that regard, the other news networks are not looking for the truth, they're looking for the perpetuation of an ideal.
