Somewhere in Knoxville tonight Phil Fulmer has opened a cold one and is laughing and dancing around the room...I just saw Urban at the Fl vs Ky basketball game laughing as he checked his text messages..

Kentucky has scored 6 points in 9 minutes at Florida..

Kiffin came in selling snake oil, and UT fans said "Well, at least it's our SNAKE OIL!"

Next time, be a little smarter.

The two usually don't go hand in hand. 04-cheers

RE: Bye Bye UT
For those that are somewhat interested, word out is that Troy Calhoun (Air Force) is going to be the next UT coach.

EDIT: or David Cutcliffe 03-wink

RE: Bye Bye UT
CUTCLIFFE TURNED THEM DOWN???????

I'm more shocked at that than I am Kiffin leaving for Southern California.

I actually wasn't shocked at Kiffin leaving for Los Angeles, but Cutcliffe preferring DUKE?

I guess my opinions on the lifestyle of east Tennessee are more universally held than I previously thought!

It's called integrity. He hired those assistants for Duke. He can sleep at night because he didn't betray them but saying, "good luck fellas, hope you can find a job. I'm out of here." Cutcliffe did the right thing and can look his maker in the face and say, "I didn't sell out." This me first, life revolves around me culture stinks. I want to move back to the 50's were right and wrong were known and part of the act.

I'm happy Cutcliffe decided to stay at Duke. They love him over there Durham, so I can understand why he decided to stay. He is building a good program and Duke has committed to improving their football program so they can compete in the ACC. I remember hearing not too long ago that they are planning to expand the size of their stadium in the next few years. I think Duke will have a bowl team in a couple of years.

I wish we had leaders like that. :(

Um... why? It's been a while since I've been in the triangle, but having been to Wallace Wade - even for the Carolina game - they don't need any more seats. If anything, they need less seats. Less New Jersey prep puke to clean up after each massacre of the football team.

Plus... Cutcliffe's old boss and I guess friend got fired by the UT AD. And anyway, choosing between UT and Duke is like choosing between a punch in the face or a kick in the nuts... either way, why would you want it at all?

You heard it here. If the voles hire Dooley, they have hired someone that is, by academic background, a lawyer..03-woohoo

Not that they couldn't use one...

The truth is funnier than fiction. You just can't make this stuff up.
