Both Rutgers and VT owe their success to Syracuse and the expansion of their stadium.
Fans of Miami and BCU on internet claimed overall they are happy to be in the ACC and games against ACC teams are more interesting than BE teams but that is not true. Their attendances over the years don’t show that.

I care, because I didn't think the ACC should've expanded, and I enjoy laughing at them for it.

who is the acc, the devil who tried to destroy the beast.

I'd say competition wise the Big East is on par with what it was when Miami, VPI, and BC were still in the league. As far as attendance goes I think the league as it is now will surpass the old Big East.

So as we all can see the New Big East is close to having already matched the second best year of the old BE.

RE: Big East Football Attendance
Next year should be a banner year. Louisville will have their stadium expansion completed, and interest will be renewed with a new coach and some hope of competing for a change. USF has BJ Daniels back. Syracuse is coming back under Marrone. UConn will be good again. WVU has nearly everyone back on offense and defense, and Geno Smith will be a very good QB as Brown's replacement. Pitt will come back strong again with Dion Lewis in the backfield, although who replaces Stull remains to be seen. Rutgers has their QB of the future back next season, with a full year of game experience. UC is the only question mark at present. Their coaching search makes any prediction almost impossible. But if we do as well OOC next year, with our bottom teams improving, we could see 7 or 8 bowl eligible teams in the conference next season...

RE: Big East Football Attendance
we have a shot at having 5 teams over 50,000 next year, albeit a long shot as both pitt and usf will probably go down because of schedule. i was a bit disappointed in rutgers attendance, but considering there was no marquee ooc home game they did a pretty good job.

Huge drop off after ECU and UCF. And as I understand it ECU is expanding the stadium. Can a Pirates fan confirm that one for me?

Adding 7,000 seats to the endzone. Will be finished for the start of next season. It will bring our capacity up to 50,000.

Most auto-bid BCS conferences have seen attendance rise over the past 10 years. This has not been the case with the non-auto-bid conferences such as the WAC, C-USA, MAC, etc.

Cheers,

Well the Big East had the largest average attendance rise this year and only two other conferences also went up.
