It sounds like it was the clubs president idea to invite the kids thinking he was doing good, then the other parents wanted the blacks to leave so he was the one that had to tell them to go. Looks like he mishandled telling them they had to leave.

To me this is no different than paying 20 bucks for a movie with your kids and just before it starts the manager allows 60 kids in for free and the tallest one in the bunch sits right in front of your kid.

So the minorities are victims again? The children of paid members had their day ruined when their parents yanked them out of the pool. The parents are all upset because they thought they were getting something exclusive and didn't - sort of like belonging to a country club where you expect to play a round of golf without waiting only to find it all backed up because someone invited a bunch of non-members. The minorites got a free ride in a members only pool, had it all to themselves and they're the victims. I need a drink.

As for the remarks about "who are the black people?" well, are they ashamed of being called black people or what? So we can't call them colored or negros and now we can add black to that list??? Oh, excuse me, black people call themselves *******, a word if used by me would get me accused of a hate crime.

Would anyone care to tell me what would happen if some white people got invited to a BBQ hosted by the Nation of Islam or the Black Panters? Do you think blacks would be upset? Do you think they'd say "who are the white people?" or worse? Do you think there might be violence?

There are idiots on each side of the race issue but the dumb ass liberal media only sees one side of it and I'm f'cking sick of it.

Instead of making a national event over one day in the life of 65 kids how come no one is screaming about this??? Can I expect to see Jesse and Al come fight for the rights of these 200 people?

So you blame the 8 year olds for wanting to swim? They were just having a good time enjoying their summer, after being invited to swim there. I'm going to invite you over to my house for free beer, then about 20 minutes after you get there I'm going to kick you out because conservatives aren't allowed in my house.

No, the kids were just doing what the adults arranged for them. I have no beef with the kids. Somebody screwed up. The club membership should have been told that a bunch of kids were coming that day and if they were expecting to have a quiet day at the pool, a pool they were paying for, they should forget it. BTW, the issue of race really means nothing in this case, it's more of a situation of haves and have nots.

I wouldn't blame you for kicking me to the curb if I came by your house for free beer and after 20 minutes you realized that I was going to drink all of it.

I've never been confused with seeing things through red colored glasses but this is a non issue concerning race. I've paid a membership fee for some form of limited privacy. I change clubs over this. Then to play the race card over it. bs

I never got my race card.

I just re-read the article and no where does it mention some sort of exclusive white membership - in fact, the only reference to whites were the protesters. For all we know the bulk of the membership could be Arab, Japanese or Martian. If it was an exclusive white club, don't you think the libs would have stuck that in the headline? It only says the club is in a relatively white neighborhood.

The funny thing about this is simple, where I live, we have Black Private Clubs and White Private Clubs and people respect each others "PRIVACY".

Then we have "Members Only Clubs" where it matters not what Race you are, if you are a Member, you get in, if you are NOT a Member, you don't get in.

What is wrong with that sort of Logic and wanting to belong to something "Exclusive" where just every Drug Headed Thief can't being his 'Boys' in, disrupt the entire place and you have to Endure It ???

What is wrong is that the kids were invited to swim, then when they get there they get called names and asked to leave. Take the racial component out of it, and you'd be psst off too if your kids were invited to someplace private, then called names and asked to leave. It was handled really poorly. If you don't want the kids there, then don't ask them to come back.

The kids did nothing wrong here.

No, I think the whole issue was handled pretty shabbily regardless of the reasoning behind it and the refunding of the Groups Payment Monies suggest that.

It did state that the Home Owners in this Private Areas were "Diverse" in Ethnicity and they contend that this too rules out a Racial Issue.

What I don't get is why we have put Michael Jackson and now this on PAGE ONE and STORY ONE in every form of Media to the point that ALL ELSE is Forgotten.

Maybe the phrase "All Else Is Forgotten" is the key here.

Might want to think about that as the TOTUS and Criminal Congress play with Nationalized Health Care and Stimuli 2.0 before their Summer Recess.

I mean not that these fine Politicians would do anything like that since they evidently Love the Community so much and all.

No one seems to give a damn that there is a NAACP or BET.

As much as I know that race played a card in this and what happened to the kids is awful and should not have occurred....It is private property and the owners(members) should have control of it.

I don't think anybody is arguing where they should have been let in or not. It's should they have been kicked out and called names after being invited.
