RE: A-sun tournament
I have to work in all of places Arkansas, but my colleagues have been informed that we'll need to be home Wednesday. I'm going to try and go to all of ETSU's games. I hate that the shirts aren't going to be made up in time, though I may try and make a sign.
Those of you who are going, PLEASE stand up, cheer, raise hell (figuratively at LU of course) and be loud. Let's make Allen Arena ETSU-West.

RE: A-sun tournament
This tournament will be VERY hard to handicap.

Jacksonville only has to play 2 games - but the first will be against either Lipscomb or Campbell, each of whom is red hot and each of whom has beaten Jacksonville in the last 12 days. The second game is the championship, probably against us or Belmont, neither of whom was a snap for the Dolphins.

Belmont starts off against Mercer, who beat them on 2/22. Then they play us, if we beat Stetson. And then the championship, the 3rd game in 3 days. If they win all 3, they will richly deserve the NCAA birth.

We have to beat Stetson, which we did not do last year, and who beat us at home this year. Then we get a day off before facing Belmont (most likely) and probably either Jacksonville or Lipscomb at Lipscomb. The Bucs have earned a rest day, but will have to beat 3 teams who each beat them the last time they played.

Lipscomb has 3 games in 3 days - starting with Campbell, who beat them back in January. Then Jacksonville, which they beat just 2 days ago. Then most likely either Belmont or us in the championship.

Can ANY of these 4 teams do it????

The 2 teams who reach Saturday might have some pretty wobbly legs.

Excellent analysis. I think I'd give ETSU a little edge as we should be Stetson (even though they beat us) and we can really use thes day of rest. Belmont will be interesting and probably exhausting, and we better dig deep for Saturday (assuming we beat Belmont.)

lipscomb is probably the hottest team in the league right now. however, if the bucs show up each game they will be the team to beat.

RE: A-sun tournament
Just saw this article on ESPN:
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/s...ortCat=ncb

FTA:
Atlantic Sun (12), March 4-7, at Nashville.

The favorite: Jacksonville won the regular-season title and has a bye into the semifinals.

The spoiler: Fourth-seeded Lipscomb has won eight straight games, including victories over all three teams seeded ahead of it, improving its RPI 84 spots in the process. Along with Belmont, Lipscomb should have hometown fan backing.

Minutes pick: Lipscomb.
