Rivals.com says it has been updated as of 1pm, but it hasn't updated the SBC schools. Every school should get a big boost in the rankings, especially FIU with the 4-star LB they got.

ULM got three 3-star players, including the 28th ranked LB in 2008 and we already believe this is the best class we've ever signed, getting all 25 of our commitments to the LOI. Didn't lose anybody to other schools. Just another fun signing day! 03-cloud9

Troy just dropped to #86 behind MidTenn (who climbed 13 spots) with ULM still strong at #81. So far Scouts shows Troy with 21 commitments, with one 4-star and two 3-star signings. You must be going with the stars shown by Rivals because Scout doesn't show an extra 4-star player or eight more 3-star athletes who have signed for the Trojans (so far).

This is as of 6pm Eastern Time.

Troy has alot more signings.....oh and we are ranked #56 on Rivals and it still isn't fully up-to-date!!!

You can make that 11 3*s and 2 4 *s now

Dude, that is based on Rivals. Scout is a different story. Don't claim a victory that is disputed...wait, I guess that is what FBS football is all about.

I was happy when ULM had the #1 spot but I wasn't going crazy over it! Good for Troy!

33 commits? What's wrong with that picture? A school can only give out a limited number of schollys each year (25?) unless Troy saved some from last year. But still only one 4-star and now three 3-stars for the Trojans....and nine 1-star signees. But you know how it goes...one of those 1-stars could outshine the 4-star in the future. And FAU still hasn't brought in all their signees yet. Only 10 right now and you know there's more that Howard will bring in.

Anyway, looks like a great recruiting year for the Sun Belt!

SOT1917, have you seen TROY's updated recruiting class? we don't have anyone below 2 stars, several are 3 stars, and we have two 4 stars.

Those rankings really are worthless. Just speaking for FIU, I have watched a lot, make that a ton of recruiting film and FIU's guys definitely are not 2* there should be like 2 ** guys in that class. The rest should be *** and above. I don't give the recruiting services too much credit. They really just look at who is being recruited by what school and base their opinions and rankings off of that. I am sure that every school in the SBC would have better rated calsses had rivals and scout really attempted to spend time evaluating our guys.

They only way to rank the classes are to use the conference standings at the end of each year.

TDC's just a little excited I think. 04-cheers Troy did have some scholarships left over from some guys not qualifying in last years class. There are also going to be a few that have to take the JUCO route.

Well, it goes to show that all these recruiting rankings can go all over the board:

CollegeFootballNews.com has ULM at #80 and Troy at #85 as of today.

It really comes down to how these guys interpret the needs of the teams and who they signed. Basically, both the Warhawks and the Trojans can be very happy with the guys they got. I think it was a good year for at least five of the Sun Belt teams. I still expect FAU to make a jump soon.

IMO I think this was the best recruiting year for the SBC overall.

What do you mean by FAU making a jump soon?
