we're not gonna miss y'all, either...
He’s about to see some full stadiums like Rice, UAB, and charlotte. Have fun.

AAC certainly has bigger and better stadiums.
Average 2026 Football Attendance
AAC 25,176
SB 20,692
The additional millions of $s from the conference, updated schedules, and TV coverage "might" offset some schools with .
JMU's payout a year from the SB - $2,000,000
JMU's new payout from AAC $6-7,000,000.
Who would not prefer home football games against:
Memphis
ECU
Memphis
Navy
Army
SFU
Tulane
North Texas
UTSA
For basketball add:
Temple
Wichita State
Why in the world we not accept this invitation?
Be angry all you want but we're the 2nd in two years that have/are leaving the SB. I'd be surprised if there are not more teams leaving the Sunbelt in the next year or two. You think ASU and Marshall are not looking for options?
It's going to be an angry couple of years for some folks.

Speaking of Rice, their baseball seems to have really fallen off a cliff. I wonder what happened...

Well, for one thing, their long-term coach retired...what's his name? Yes, Rice won a CWS as a member of the WAC, as did Fresno State. Rice always had stellar pitching and defense, the key to being consistent on the diamond.

Didn’t care when Texas State left, don’t care that JMU’s leaving, won’t care when the next one leaves. If we could just fast forward to the end game of a new Gulf South Conference tomorrow, that’d be fine with me.
Some of us at this point are like foster children who bounce from home to home. We don’t hate anybody who takes us in, but we’ve accepted the fact that nobody loves us and just want to hang out with the other kids who get us.

Wayne Graham the slowest walk to the mound you ever saw. They were the measuring stick of cusa baseball.

This^. The rest of us have no illusion about where we are and what needs to happen to move the programs forward. Keep it together and we'll be fine. No way the programs in this conference will remain happy with mediocrity.

You'll get your wish.
