Quite a few of my fellow alums said the same damn thing. Makes no sense to me at all...
It seems to me that in an age when most teams lose so many of their players every year preseason polls are even more worthless than ever, especially with regard to the teams that have a lot of unknowns like us.
Great point. William and Mary turned over basically their entire roster, didn't bring in a proven CAA player like Rashad and they were picked 6th, basically entirely off the strength of recent results by Coach Earl and his staff. Not that this is wrong, we've been dreadful lately and it is very easy to assume that will continue. But nobody really knows anything. I'll see you all at The Roof on November 2nd.
Yeah. After we get to see a bunch of these guys actually play we'll have a better idea idea about jncoming talent.

Preach Brother NUGuy. These polls and predictions are useless in this day and age. This is a useless take too, we have some really interesting storylines this year. If we stay healthy, get something from our 5's , Ictovic & Bond are players, we are top 4.
Or we could be bottom 5. LOL!

RE: Men's hoops 2026-27
Huskies at #9 UVA today (5pm...), first of the 6 road games vs Power Conference teams. As of now, this is our only ranked matchup of the season as well, and I don't expect that to change as we go along.
Per KenPom, we're 29 point underdogs, which is the exact margin of UVA's win over Drexel on Tuesday, they started that game with a 25-4 run and never really looked back. Hopefully we can keep it more competitive than that, that's really my only hope for today.
Also hoping we see Miles Newton on the court today. I saw on their social videos he made the trip down and seemed to be participating.
