Well done filth.

They need another dose of reality like children. They will be crying for daddy. Trump will go scorched earth with every ounce of exec power and veto the shite out of every bill they pass.

Going to be a couple of years.

Gridlock is beautiful

To be expected. I reallocated my portfolio yesterday in anticipation of such an event. There are certain industries that do well under Dem control, so I bought into a bunch of those and sold off others. I don't agree with much, if anything, Dems do, but I damn sure will make money off of them. Always try to insulate yourself from whatever party is in power.

The Dow has tanked today (down 1,637 or 3 percent)

It skyrocketed yesterday, finishing up 1,569 (about a 3 percent hike)

So do we thank the Dem success for yesterday's market and blame it today?

They told you they were going to get rid of billionaires. Just didn’t expect them to do it two days after the election.

While at the same time hurting nearly half of all Americans that have stocks in retirement accounts. I expect the market to gyrate in either direction for the next couple of days and then settle down, well settle down for how the market typically reacts, which can be a headscratcher at times.

Those two stocks will recover once the market realizes the moratorium will not happen. Too many people, both Repub and Dem, have too much money already invested. Have to remember that even the Dems don't like Bernie.

Yes.

You are being fair and consistent, B-2013. That is not acceptable on this board.

My general point, green, is that the markets were up big Wednesday and detractors of the Dems gave no credit. Now that the markets are tanking today ... time to pounce with criticism. Seems inconsistent.

I don't care much for either the Dems or Republicans.

RE: Democrats Sweep, Markets Sell Off
Markets price in the expectations of market participants. If you see it in the news----its priced into the market. The expectation that Democrats would win the mid-terms was expected and was already priced into the market. However, the SIZE of the Democrat win was completely UNEXPECTED and was NOT priced into the market. So, what we have now are market participants still trying to figure out who actually wins and who actually loses in a world where Democrats have a much larger congressional majority than anyone expected (not to mentions taking over state offices and legislatures that everyone believed were solidly red).

I called this yesterday. Yesterday, the markets were up merely because the uncertainty of who would prevail was known. Markets hate uncertainty. The market had a day to digest what it actually means given the Dems won, and you see the result today. A diversified portfolio and dollar cost averaging helps to negate lots of the risks from day-to-day market swings.

So if on Wednesday you knee feels great and someone with a bat hits you in the knee today you want the bat to get credit for your knee feeling great on Wednesday?

Ok

I just don't feel two days solely tells the overall story. Time is needed. But we'll see.

RE: Democrats Sweep, Markets Sell Off
I'm sure the Stock Market crash has nothing to with the Democrats coming out today saying they are going to go after the heads of corporations. Don't forget they are Marxists.
A few examples:
Going after JPMorganChase
Going after AI
Quote:But beyond the political sparring, some of the country’s richest investors were focused on a potentially bigger consequence of the Democratic sweep: the future of the AI boom.

Even before polls closed Tuesday, Pershing Square founder Bill Ackman warned on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” that slowing AI development could jeopardize America’s technological edge. “Practically speaking, we can’t slow down,” he said.

As results rolled in Tuesday night, billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya sounded an even starker warning.

Palihapitiya initially questioned whether the early results would hold, but warned that if they did, the implications for the AI trade could be severe.

“And the only way to sink the AI trade is to sink the data centers,” Palihapitiya said during an election night livestream of the “All-In” podcast.

Texas offered an early test of those fears. Democratic Gov.-elect Gina Hinojosa, who has proposed a moratorium on new data center construction until stronger safeguards are established, defeated three-term Republican incumbent Greg Abbott.

During the same livestream, Altimeter Capital CEO Brad Gerstner warned the Democratic wave could mean at least 10 to 15 gigawatts of expected AI data center capacity would not come online in 2027. Wall Street analyst Dan Ives estimated Wednesday that 10% of planned U.S. data centers would no longer go ahead.
