Tell me, what does the term "time in service" mean to you? That's the term I used. It should elicit two things in thought: 1) assumption of service, and; 2) LENGTH of service (as in how long).

If you'll notice in his reveal to you he didn't mention that, now did he?

He has a core misunderstanding of a command structure, who is in a command structure and what ranks make up a command structure. anyone in longer than 24 months would know and understand these things. It would NOT be such a struggle for someone who claims 8+ years.

Had you been around this board longer than 6 months, you'd know this (among other things). It's part and parcel of why he has ZERO respect here. But hey, you do you.

I don't have the context needed for this. As you note, I haven't been posting on The Lounge board for many years like some others.

If Mr. X is exaggerating his level and time of service so as to generate respect ... that is worthy of criticism. I agree with you.

I never claimed to be in 8 years. I served 4 years active. A few years after I joined the NG. They wanted to send me to a very long AIT to learn a new MOS. New service members came in and were sent to boot and AIT because that comes out of federal funds. 3 times they gave me a date that came and went without orders because the state did not have the money. After the 3rd time I told them to release me because my availability changed as I was starting Uni and would no longer live within range of the unit.

I can give two if you respect me because you are so obviously wrong. But sure why don’t you tell me what I don’t understand about command structure? I left things out because you don’t need my personal info.
