I'm like TB4E, I don't watch news, national or local, and I don't frequent any internet news sites. Therefore I can make up anything I want to believe.

I actually would be curious to know the percent. Some of the stuff CP posts is "out there." But he does post some very interesting and helpful info that I enjoy reading.
For me, CP serves a positive purpose posting on the board overall. I get the impression he is strongly conservative so I don't always agree with what he posts. But that's fine.

As you were, folks.
And do we want to track how many rightie apologists there are in this thread and board? The data would not be in your favor but of course there would be calls that the numbers faked.

Once upon a time I was what most people would call fairly liberal. Now I'm considered far right.
The funny thing is, I haven't really changed.

I hear ya. But in my case, I've always been conservative.
X: You sure about that? This is coming from someone who insisted that the murder rate of a small town in Montana was more important than, say, the murder rate of NYC or Chicago as opposed to actual number of murders.

No, I said a single murder in a small town is going to raise the for that town murder rate a whole lot more than any individual murder in a large city.
And yes I am sure anout that. First when you guys mention the “lefties” here it is always the same handful of posters. Though there does seem to be more recently. Right now 34 of the 42 threads on the first page are by righties. We could take a sample of posts and see what % of posts are by R vs L but we all know how that is going to turn out. This board is entertaining because of the persecution complex many have.

RE: Troll takes over political bulletin board and guess what it does...
Again, what's a more telling number: The murder rate in relation to a city or town's population or the actual number of murders in said city or town compared to another, much larger city? The answer is clearly the latter.

What’s telling is how you are running for the poster balance question to a thread that happened how long ago now? Total number is one thing but rate is how we compare.

I make it a point to not watch news shows. I get most of my information from here, CP, or from other online sources. I don't believe a word I hear on any news network.
Both sides spew whatever misinformationm/disinformation they want their sycophants to disseminate to the masses. All of us.
We're frucked.
We ALL gravitate toward stories/reports that we WANT to agree with. That is just human nature. It really is not any different than news outlets reporting with a bias toward what they want you to believe - again - human nature.
The words "Unbiased" and "Neutral" do not actually exist in real life.
All true.

Yeah...and...
A poster just said that he believes or trusts CP and uses that as a source for credible information. The VAST majority of CP's threads are links to dubious outfits that are generally pretty unreliable or extremely biased.
Such esteemed institutions like:
The Gateway Pundit
The Post Millennial
Red State
Random substacks...which are mostly just someone's blog
Or some random twitter account
To be fair (and specific), Tom ... TB4E posted this: "I get most of my information from here, CP, or from other online sources."
He did not say he "he believes or trusts" those sources (as you note). He simply gets info (some of which he likely feels is not credible) from those sources.
I go to multiple sources to seek news. Sometimes I find info from those sources believable and sometimes I don't.
Maybe I'm dabbling in semantics, but ...
Having said this, I do find some of the sites CPhantom posts as highly dubious and lacking credibility.
Thanks, I was just going to respond to that. tommie can be a bit hyperbolic, as we all know.
The thing about most of CPs posts is that he does the same thing I do when creating a thread, and that is to copy and paste the headline first as the topic, then I copy it in the actual thread and use it as a link to the story, then I paste the article, or if it's long, I'll paste just a bit of it and provide a link again at the bottom.
CP doesn't usually deviate from that format. He is providing a story and a link to it, usually without commenting on the veracity of the story or the nature of the source. He allows one to form their own judgment.

Good points.
I kind of like that CP rarely comments on the articles he posts. I simply wish he would reduce the number of threads (as Stink notes ... it can somewhat clutter the board). And I wish Gitanole would reduce his thread numbers, too.

There are clearly some rightwing apologists on this board, Mr. X. I try to be respectful of them because I want to engage/debate them (just like I want to engage/debate the lefties). Slamming the righties (not suggesting you do that) does no good for me.
