Millions and Millions of Dems justify killing Musk, but he gives stock to their children nevertheless.

It is a generous and terrific concept. It is time for the wealthy to start giving directly to the American people rather than use Dem middlemen hating them and capitalism to take their cut and then granting money to Dem causes.

Micheal Dell did something similar with the Trump accounts, although he used his foundation to fund it.

This would be cool if say, 500 or so companies got together and donated one share each to every American under 18. Being poor doesn't have to be standard.

Why would those who actually control our government do such a thing?? We are, after all, a corpocracy. The "Republic" moniker is just an illusion now.

Gitanole (12) hopes xi is going to get SpaceX stock. My guess is xi will be too busy trolling and miss the deadline.

I've got a large number of young kids, so I'd love it if this happened.

But count me as skeptical that he'll ever actually do this.

Even if it does happen, I bet that less than 30% of kids end up registered to receive it. And those 30% will skew heavily towards the people who are already wealthy.

For example, Illinois gives kids $50 to start a 529c, and Pennsylvania offers $100. Only 15% of IL kids and 11% of PA kids have signed up.

I’m afraid that much like his satellites, his stocks and these kids futures are going to come crashing down.

With inflation, the debt, the taxes they will owe on it, and the risky nature of most tech companies, the future value of these stocks is likely zero.

I like Elon, but this is a gimmicky stunt. There’s a reason he’s giving stock away, and it’s not because he’s anticipating this $10 billion in stock being worth $10 trillion down the road.

Musk has not yet specified exact eligibility age ranges, the exact timeline for distribution in 2027, or the formal logistics of how the shares will be transferred to minor accounts.
