Strong Majority of Young Liberal Women Blame Men for Their Problems
Quote:A new Survey Center on American Life brief found that young Democratic women are far more likely than other groups to say men are a primary source of the problems women face.

Some 66 percent of Democratic women ages 18 to 29 said the challenges women confront in American society are due in great part to the behavior or actions of men. Only 18 percent of Republican women in the same age band agreed with that statement.

The 48-point gap is the widest split the center highlighted in the gender-blame questions.

The center also reported that young women stand out on a related item about discrimination. More than two-thirds of young women said women face “a lot” of discrimination in the United States.

Majorities of young men and older women agreed that women face substantial prejudice, but at lower rates than the younger females. The survey write-up treated those discrimination answers as the backdrop for the blame question, not as a separate political poll.

Party identification tracks the blame question as closely as age does.

Democratic women overall were much more likely than Republican women to say men are responsible for many of the problems women have.

The Survey Center on American Life said the two groups also diverge on how much prejudice women encounter. The young-Democratic figure of 66 percent is the number that has driven subsequent coverage.

The New York Post summarized the same dataset on Wednesday and emphasized the age pattern inside each party. Among women 30 to 49, 54 percent of Democrats and 33 percent of Republicans said men were largely to blame for women’s problems. Among women 50 to 64, those shares were 47 percent of Democrats and 25 percent of Republicans.

The partisan gap shrank with age but did not disappear.

The New York Post calculated the Democratic-minus-Republican difference at about 50 points among 18-to-29-year-old women, about 30 points among 30-to-49-year-olds, and about 20 points among 50-to-64-year-olds.

The survey language asked whether women’s challenges were “a great deal due to the behavior or actions of men.”

Researchers then flipped the question for men. Only 16 percent of men overall agreed that women were to blame for the troubles men face.

Republican young men were the most likely male group to say yes, at 26 percent. That is still far below the 66 percent recorded among young Democratic women on the parallel item.

The New York Post published additional male age breaks: 21 percent of Republican men ages 30 to 49 blamed women for men’s problems, and 21 percent of Republican men ages 50 to 64 said the same.

Democratic men in those brackets were lower. The two parties’ male numbers began to converge after age 65, at 15 percent of Republican men and 11 percent of Democratic men.

The Survey Center on American Life framed young women as “unique” in how they see gender discrimination and male responsibility.

It did not argue that young men hold a mirror-image view. The male-blame-women numbers stay in the teens and low twenties even among the Republican subgroup that scores highest.

Coverage of the brief placed it in a run of polls on gender and politics. The New York Post cited an April New Statesman survey that found 21 percent of Gen Z women under 30 held negative views of the opposite sex. Meanwhile, 7 percent of Gen Z men in that project held negative views of women, and 72 percent of those men reported a positive view of women.

The brief does not diagnose why young Democratic women cluster on the “men are the root” item.

The New York Post noted that the results fit a wider pattern of men and women drifting apart politically, including outside the United States.

Doesn't matter male or female, Liberals in general always blame others for their problems.

I know (or know of) folks of various political backgrounds who are narcissists — always looking to place blame on anybody but themselves, VA.

The "blame game" is not limited to the libturds.

RE: Strong Majority of Young Liberal Women Blame Men for Their Problems
My question is: what are the problems that women blame men for and what are the problems that men blame women for. Is it sexual, financial or what? Do Repub men blame women because most of the women are just plain nutso Liberals and want to start political arguments or is it because most Liberal women are Lesbians and don't want anything to do with heterosexual men? The article is very vague.

In my experience, conservative viewpoints frequently emphasize personal responsibility and individual agency. Can't say the same about liberal viewpoints. Granted, can't speak for everyone, but, in general, my theory holds, imo. 04-cheers

RE: Strong Majority of Young Liberal Women Blame Men for Their Problems
This is not surprising given that liberal women tend to following the rage trends. Feminism has destroyed the role of women and how they relate to men.

Andrew Wilson on his Youtube channel The Crucible has a pretty solid take on feminism.

Basically, as much as feminists try to fight the patriarchy they can't get away from the fact that it's men who allow them to enjoy any rights they have.

Rights come from God, but that doesn't matter if the government suppresses those rights rather than protecting/enforcing them.

Protecting and enforcing rights essentially requires the threat &/or use of force.

Any right feminists enjoy is because men use force to allow it.

So for all the whining feminists do, they owe men for everything they have.

It’s a liberal thing.

It CAN also be a chick thing. Notice I said CAN.

Therefore a lib chick is certainly at serious risk.

With the bolded ... I agree with you, VA. Valid point.

However, there are lots of folks who hold conservative viewpoints, claim to emphasize personal responsibility and individual agency, and are actually hypocritical and very narcissistic. I live in a condo tower with some such folks.

Some conservatives on this board (not saying you) tend to give conservatives in general more credit than is due. And of course, the same can be said for liberals on this board giving their fellow libs more credit than is due.

04-cheers

RE: Strong Majority of Young Liberal Women Blame Men for Their Problems
I blame a lot of my problems on myself, especially my current health issues. I do place some blame on my ex-wife, but it was ultimately my choice to do whatever she wanted me to do while she and I were together, which more often than not backfired on me. (And she was almost as conservative as I am.) At some point, we need to take responsibility and accountability for our own lives and do better.

It’s a real shocker then, that so many men marry foreign women.

Leave the bitter hags alone in their misery.

There is a reason it’s women who destroy nearly all marriages.

Bill, if you never understand one thing about Progressive Liberals at least memorize this written by CS Lewis

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

This is the Democrats in a nutshell and you are to be taxed unmercifully to fulfill their never ending unsatisfying ways.

It will only when the money runs out.

Until it’s Climate control, population control, petro car control, and the list goes on and on

Left-Wing Author and Professor Camille Paglia Talks About Cornell Rape Allegations, Rips Today’s Feminists for Trying to Have it Both Ways on Sexual Consent (VIDEO)

Quote:In case you haven’t heard, there is a new high-profile college campus rape case, this time at Cornell University. A young woman claims she was raped during a party by more than one male student, but others say she gave consent to the sexual activity.

During a recent interview, left wing professor Camille Paglia tore into today’s feminists for trying to have it both ways on the issue of sexual consent, suggesting that women cannot claim to be empowered and then demand to be treated like children.

It’s not the first time that Paglia has made this type of point and it probably won’t be the last.

Transcript via Real Clear Politics:

QUESTION: You don’t think there’s a problem with sexual assault? Because a lot of women are coming forward now.

CAMILE PAGLIA: No. In cases of real rape, of course it should be prosecuted. Of course real rape is a crime.

But this is not real rape.

We’ve been arguing about dating encounters with miscommunications now for decades. It’s absolutely infantilizing to women. It must stop.

QUESTION: But you know that a lot of women are afraid of sexual assault or have been sexually assaulted.

Should they not be able to go and drink and play beer pong and get drunk like the guys do? They live in fear.

CAMILE PAGLIA: If you go to a fraternity-house party, with the chaos going on in the living-room area, and a young man says to you, “Would you like to go up to my room?” I’m sorry — you are consenting to sex.

He is right to think you have consented to go up there.

You can change your mind, and of course it’s not right for anyone to impose themselves sexually on another person. Naturally.

But women must realize they are now free.

The sexual revolution has been won.

Why are we coddling young women, saying, “Go on being children, because Mommy and Daddy will be there to pick up the pieces for you afterward?”

See the video below:

It seems like there is a case like this one every five to ten years.

Why don’t we learn from history?

And I mean that as high praise, BD.

This is true.

You can know nothing about people and tell their politics by how they handle adversity.

Liberal “women”?
Do they know what a woman is now?

Since I’m “not a biologist”. I just refer to all liberals, communists, socialist or otherwise as women. 03-lmfao
