RE: World Cup 2026
Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if this ended up going to extra time or even penalty kicks.

RE: World Cup 2026
Well, that's something I'm glad I muted. lol I really don't care for halftime shows these days, even those during the World Cup Final.

I'd say I'm getting old, but it's not because of that. I deliberately missed the "Wardrobe Malfunction" in 2004 as well. I only found out about it after Super Bowl XXXVIII ended.

I kinda enjoyed the little K poppers. Their little tune is quite catchy.

… and I know I enjoyed Shakira. Wowza.

lol Fair enough. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the K poppers are a group named BTS. Blame my ex-wife for listening to modern pop while I was with her. And I do like Shakira, too. She's a saucy lil' mama.

Spain's playing their style of soccer and it's forcing Argentina to play defense. The Argentines can barely attack Spain's end of the field. (Sorry. Pitch. lol)

I found that halftime show better then the last decade of crap that the Superbowl has subject us to.

I didn't see Madonna part of the show. If I had, I would've given it a lower grade.

I do believe that Spain thinks that they get credit for hitting the keeper with their shots.

Spain scored what may be the World Cup clincher! Still playing the second extra time period. If Argentina, who's down to ten men, can tie it up, we'll go to penalty kicks. The problem is they've had zero shot all game. That's right. Spain's defense has been so suffocating Messi and Co. haven't been able to get a shot.

Shakira is 49. She looked better than all her dancers who were probably half her age!

RE: World Cup 2026
The faking in soccer is annoying. When someone kicks a ball and you stop it with your head, yes. But all these falling down and acting like someone stuck a knife in your thigh or calf is ridiculous. And games get decided by teams being a player short when those determinations are all very subjective.

Bye Argentina. Take your rock fighting approach and go home.

… leave your women though.

And it's over. This ends up being the winning goal.

Spain wins its second World Cup in the 96-year history of the competition! Argentina has been dethroned!

And here's the trophy presentation. Trump makes his way with the president of FIFA. Now there are some mixed reactions in the crowd. Of course, the FIFA prez isn't very popular so he's getting some boos.

She was on at the very beginning. Not memorable. She was sitting down, in that ridiculous spread leg pose.

I decided the politics of it all wasn't worth it so I chose another path. The only reason I regret it is because we could use more genuinely conservative voices out there. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing.
