Wow, I have followed politics all my life, and I have never seen anything like this. Paul is chairman of the committee, and he absolutely blasted Mullin for Mullin's reaction to the injuries received by Paul when he was attacked by a neighbor.

I'm now wondering if Mullin is going to get the votes to be confirmed, since the chairman of the committee, Paul, is so adamantly opposed to him, and they're in the same party.

Did Trump not know this going in?

I've never been a fan of Paul's, but man, he just displayed some outright personal resentment unlike anything else I can recall in a Senate hearing before.

Yes. Paul has made the hearing about himself. Looking back what has Rand Paul voted YES on. He seems like he is against everything. What is his purpose in the Senate?

IDK, but KY's record with Republicans isn't all that great. Rand Paul. Mitch McConnell. Thomas Massie. Woof.

Rand Paul is a libertarian, just like his dad. Massie is pretty much also a libertarian. I respect their beliefs and how they stand strong with them.

McConnell is/was awful. The fact that he sold out to the hemp (delta 9) industry in order to appease his Kentucky bourbon distilleries was just the nail in the coffin for me.

Well, Rand Paul is acting like a total jackazz in this hearing. He's letting his personal feelings, justified or not, get the best of him.

Rand was about the worst Republican presidential primary candidate I've ever seen in 2016 and he's determined to reprise that role.

Today was all about him starting his exploratory committee and fund raising.

Good. He's COMPLETELY unqualified.

Speaking of Democrats and hearings, there also is a Senate Intel hearing going on now with Gabbard, Ratcliffe and Patel.

Most of the Democrats are literal morons. They say some of the dumbest things. And one word out of their mouths in every question is "Trump!"

Kentucky is such a red state that Leftists often run as Republicans to get elected.

Thankfully Glitch McConnell is about to abdicate his seat.

Paul has always been a little different. He’s a doctor so he’s used to having his backside kissed. Being a senator he’s doubly used to it.

Massie, on the other hand, is just a Leftist in sheep’s clothing. What a waste of air. Unfortunately I don’t see him losing in May.

Whenever Kentuckians have needed McConnell, Paul or Massie to step up for them, they’ve all folded like the cheap suits they are.

Right. It's almost as if trump was the president who started a war with no congressional oversight or approval, no global coordination with all our allies, and no credible case made to the American public. Go figure that he would be a topic of discussion!

Rand Paul's staff told him he needed to look like a tough guy and he ended up looking like a fool.
