I read the entire tweet. The problem seems to be that DHS oversold the incident at the beginning by saying Pretti intended to harm the agents and massacre as many as possible, when later video shows that not to be the case at all.

Someone with that many rounds on them doesn't have them for "self Defense". This is how mass murderers arm themselves. This guy obviously had problems as evidenced by the quote from his parents. Parents don't have to tell NORMAL 37 yo men to not do something stupid. You tell your mal adjusted 37 yo son that. They didn't sound surprised what happened to him. He was loaded for bear and ACTING like he was directing traffic etc. to soften how the CBP officers would accept him on the scene. They figured him out pretty quick and were right. Instincts. This guy was going to do what everyone with sense was expecting to happen. He was going to open up on the officers and die a hero in his deranged mind.
