RE: New Video breakdown of Minnesota Shooting
Hitting someone, much less a federal agent, with a car no longer counts as assault in Tom's eyes. Not surprised.
Not complying with law enforcement when told to do something no longer counts as a crime in Tom's eyes. Again, not surprised.

Just more blah blah blah from the fat commie cat dude.

Pretti, remains to be seen, but he was the only one who committed a crime at the time. It was not self-defense, but wasn't murder.

Good didn't "assault" any one.
Pretti did not commit any "crime."

As much as micropenis brownshirt leader Bovino keeps insisting, filming and shouting at his Nazi stormtroopers is not a criminal act.

That seems to be the opinion of the Marxists on the left. They feel hitting an agent with a car or carrying a gun when confronting federal agents while they perform their duty is A-okay. Reality is a bit different.

Reality. Legally carrying your firearm in public. Muh 2nd Amendment.
Reality. Helping up a women showed to the ground is not confronting.

Yep. The first line in the search says "significant liability protection, including qualified immunity."

And it mentions both individuals AND agencies.

Qualified immunity is a high bar. It generally protects government employees performing their duties. It broadly protects against bad decisions and negligence.

About the only way around qualified immunity is establishing that the government employee violates constitutional rights by taking actions that a reasonable person in that moment would have known violated those rights.

Tom, you know damn well Pretti did more than just film and shout.

He stepped into an active ICE op, obstructed agents, resisted arrest, and fought back violently. Oh, and carried a loaded gun and at least one extra loaded mag.

Then when an agent removed his gun and tried to leave the scene, it accidentally discharged, resulting in Pretti's death. If he had not brought that stupid gun, he would still be alive.

And every time you argue this case, you leave out every one of those details. Which makes you dishonest.

Reality. Interfering with a lawful ICE op is illegal.
Reality. Resisting arrest is illegal.
Reality. Violently resisting arrest by 7 officers with loaded guns is potentially suicidal.

Can't have it both ways, either you don't do crap that is illegal or presents itself as a threat in the moment or you face the consequences of your actions.

If this guy hadn't been out protesting against ICE he'd still be alive.

If Ashli Babbit hadn't been trying to crawl through a window at Capitol police she'd still be alive.

One thing is certain in this world of turmoil. If you act aggressively at federal agents, you are opening the possibility of getting the swiss cheese treatment.
Im in 100% agreement with this. Ive consistently said Babbit should not have done what she did, period.

You cannot and must not ever put yourself in a position like either of the ones you mentioned.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. But she was still murdered.
Ill respectfully disagree, no different than here.

The officers were put in an untenable situation and acted appropriately IMHO.

I usually avoid these reactions but this guy very clearly resisted arrest and in doing so put his hands on a policeman which is a third crime. He most likely committed the first crime by not leaving the scene and interfering with police doing their duty. Police is this case are ICE agents.

You can argue if those would have stuck or not but the two after contact are slam dunks 99.5% of the time unless they get dismissed with a plea

Which pretty much makes it and open and shut case, IMO. Although I think they have to go though a full top to bottom investigation, b/c the situation is so volatile.

RE: New Video breakdown of Minnesota Shooting
He definitely attacked officers while armed.

If he was disarmed and the weapon accidentally discharged, it is understandable that the officers would believe thie life was in danger and he was reaching and shooting at them.

The fact he was actively resisting gives the probable cause. It stinks he was killed, but he made a grave mistake taking a weapon to the protest and then attacking officers.

Well, Pretti can argue those at trial...oh...wait...they executed him. Oops.
