Tom, have you ever considered anger management classes?

Why would I be angry?

All I did was once again show you how idiotic you look by ****-posting a right-wing twitter troll without doing an ounce of research or applying any thought.

03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

That is freaking hilarious coming from someone who, it appears, has as a daily goal of looking stupider than anyone else here. In that regard you are a resounding success.

That's the funniest part. Arrogance without a basis for it is highly amusing to witness. tommie has no such basis, his arrogance is misplaced and based on the voices in his head.

Well, I'm the one who wanted the pool. We had an old growth forest for a backyard. What a tree removal company wanted to do that work ($900 a tree) would have cost $39,600. That is 3 times what the pool cost back then, for a concrete heated large pool.

I did it with my already paid for chainsaw, and the lumber company paid me to haul them all away. Piece of cake.

900 a tree is a bargain these days. I have a friend who owns a tree service. He's a certified arborist, just about as dumb as a rock but a really good dude. He is rolling in dough with just a single crew. He's getting thousands of dollars per tree depending on various factors. I know another guy who does the same thing. Dude is 55 years old and lean, hard as nails, and moves like a freakin monkey. He is still swinging from branches at his age. Every tree guy I ever knew was nuts.

Well, that's the sort of the reason for this forum, discussing political topics and such. 07-coffee3

You missed the point, as usual. I post what I want. I don't take orders as to what to post or what questions to answer. If you read the comments under the original tweet, you should be able to answer the questions yourself.

Having said that, it's likely that DOGE system changes helped get this work done earlier than expected, but I actually placed it here b/c I didn't want to start a new thread. And plenty of Dems have been claiming that the DOGE cuts would hamper production, not make it more efficient.

But I'm not going to go back and search for specific quotes. If you don't understand that "narrative," you haven't been paying attention.

Nobody is questioning your right to post whatever you want, and for whatever reason you want.

But when YOU post something, that's seen as something YOU are affirming unless you state otherwise. So of course, it's going to be seen as you saying that DOGE had something to do with this.

And I did read some of the responses under that tweet. But from what I understand about Twitter, their algorithm determines which tweets you see and how they are arranged. So I'm not going to see what you see. And further, a bunch of random people posting replies under a tweet proves nothing.

And while you're free to believe that DOGE system changes helped this process, I'm also free to assert that I don't believe they did. Especially since the tweet you posted doesn't even make that claim.

Hence why I am asking, what specifically has DOGE done that lead to this being completed ahead of schedule according to the SSA?

Did you forget he reserves the right to post as many lying tweets as he wants and then go “I didn’t say that, I just posted a tweet”.

You've been mirror gazing again, haven't you?

Leftists cheering that entrenched waste will always be in place. Certain pubes included.

It was successful in rooting out and getting rid of some waste dollars and programs and made the left lose their collective minds so it successful in a few ways.

Its amazing how the left roots for our countries failure.

Looks like the hunt for waste, fraud, and abuse favored by Dem’s is still active, but by a different method. I think embedding the DOGE process within agencies is a better strategy. A culture change is needed and it will take time.

Agreed, it should be a way of life to save dollars.

If thesw agencies were private businesses, their executives would be in prison.

Largely it showed that the "fraud" that was described over and over is not real. I'm not saying there isn't waste and abuse, but it doesn't seem as though they were able to easily identify it above and beyond what checks are already there.

Has anyone gone to jail? Has anyone had charges brought against them? Seems to me that most of it was done legally, whether right or wrong. If it is legal it isn't fraud, at least in my mind.

Turning off the spigot and resetting the baseline is the most important thing that they can accomplish.

The fraud is so institutionalized that for generations, the federal government just looked the other way. That has to stop. And it is stopping.

It's already happening.

As we head in to 2026 the department of agriculture is going to require that everybody on snap reapply to establish qualification.

HUD is requiring citizenship status for public housing assistance.

SBA is looking at loan programs and PPP fraud. People are starting to be charged and convicted.

Great. And when it is completed will there be a substantial decline in the money outflowing there (or recovered from the loan programs/PPP)? I'm not sold. Nothing else that was promised has come to fruition. Let's not forget, most of those programs were bipartisan creations and both sides love to talk about how they are helping the poor and lower middle class.

FY 2024 had a $1.8T deficit.
FY 2025 had a $1.8T deficit.
FY 2026 currently has a projected $1.7T deficit.

We are far from actually fixing the budget woes, and I've seen nothing from Trump that shows he is truly trying to balance the budget (let alone pay down our national debt).

My son just finished his 4 year Army contract in June and is doing tree work now. Those guys work pretty hard and do some crazy stuff (and get paid really well). He wants to learn everything he can for a couple years, then hang his own shingle doing the same work.

It is a special breed of person who wants to climb and cut...

I just don't see it actually making a big difference. There are a ton of people who are in need, unfortunately. I'm not holding my breath that we see a significant decline in outflows for SNAP. I do think, long term, housing prices will slow the huge run up on value over the last decade, but it will take years for wages to catch up for the people whom have been on public housing assitance for years. Hence, I expect that program to be very large for a long time still.

Very little money has truly been recovered back to the treasury by DOGE, and if they couldn't find significant savings in the low hanging fruit then I am not so positive on them finding it elsewhere.
