And Obama is losing sway quickly. He didn't come close to bailing out Kamala.
Obama is indeed losing sway in the Democrat Party. Maybe not as quickly as you say he is (with all due respect) or as we in the GOP would like, but his influence is most definitely waning. What's keeping him around, if you will, is the leftist legacy media. They seem to fall all over themselves all over again when he speaks. They still get that "thrill" up their leg (thanks, Chris Matthews for saying such an inane thing) when he makes an appearance. Once they truly fall out of love with him, his influence will truly be gone.
Just to be clear, I am not a member of the GOP. I dislike the party. Just not as much as I dislike the Dem party, lol.
I don't understand what that means ... you'll never vote donk, yet you're indy ... is it a political stigmata thingy ...
I'm a registered voter ... that's all I know...
I have been a registered voter since 1968. No party declared. I don't vote in primaries.
I have voted D twice for president (Carter #1 and Clinton #1), and R 3 times (Reagan #2 and Trump #2 and #3). All the other times, I have voted third party, or did a write-in where possible.
I have no intention of voting for an R next time (or any time), unless it's someone I like over the other possibilities, third parties included. If I like nobody, I write in a random name. If that isn't allowed (it is different in a few places), I vote third party.
That's about as Indy as one can be.
lol ... fair enough ... you're talkin' to a feller that never voted until #henceDJT ... why is that? ... b/c I despise politics and he's the first 3rd party guy that figgled out ya gotta pick a side...
hands down, I'm voting JDV ... that torch has finally been lit!!!
having said all that bs, all until DJT sucked fromunda .... I never had to sweat it in the 'sip ... red since I've been able to vote...
I'll never vote donk ... unless it's a hooker ...

I think it's safe to say I won't vote D in the short time I have left, but I never say never.
Right at the moment I would vote for JDV in '28, but I like to keep my powder dry until I actually take the shot.
I do agree that DJT is actually third party. I didn't trust him the first time around, so I voted third party that time.

RE: Who is the leader of the Dem Party now?
I don't know who the leader is, but the Obama wing of the party is still very powerful right now, his VP was president only a year ago. There's no way the Party distanced themselves from that wing that fast

I'm not sure I even care. I just thought it was an interesting question, with Pelosi announcing her retirement, Schumer and Jeffries flailing around, and Bernie admitting there are only about 8 true Progressives in Congress.

whoooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ... you mean the senile bastage geriatric that couldn't pull the ticket going into '24 w/o the aid of muh branch covidians and mail-it-inns to everyone as in '20 .... ummmmmmmmmmmmmmkaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ... 0'bummer carries zero weight in any red/purple at this point...
they're currently fractured w/o a clue ... winning in blue is meaningless...
if they flip, then you can begin to worry...
the boys are all over combatting such with voter roll reformation/gerrymandering and the following mail-it-inns suit that will eventually find SCOTUS .... the latter has to happen after the mids...
it's all we have left to combat the lunatics...
