Not the polls I've seen. It's on the Dems -- as it usually is... when a party is the cause of the shutdown, they typically bear the blame.

In Trump's 1st term, he was blamed because he actually caused it by saying he would veto any bill which didn't include what he wanted.

he's not being blamed now because the dems caused it.

Well, we're looking at different polls then. And typically, shutdowns are blamed on the party in power, not the party causing it, b/c that message usually gets garbled, even though this time, it's clear the no votes are mostly Ds.

trump's approval edges up despite Americans blaming Republicans for shutdown

Eh, 50/43 is pretty much a split right down the middle, along party lines. Doesn't say much, imo.

Other than the fact that the GOP is still getting the blame...just as always happens in a shutdown...the party in the majority gets the blame. 07-coffee3

It's pretty much 50/50 which indicates both are getting the blame. There's also the margin of error in any poll. It is what it is. Either way, it's not a big deal.

Yep, people are getting tired of the Republican shut down. People are starting to realize that the goal isn’t to get the government open from the R side.

I was on a flight yesterday spoke to hub with almost 100 open seats. Crew said they’ve seen much emptier flights this week. I think people are scared of flying with overworked and unpaid ATC. Uber driver taking me home was talking about how slow things were, and I live near one of the busiest airports in the country

There's 53 Republicans. A majority of 60 votes needed to pass.

Dems won't vote on it cause they want fluff in there being directed to other countries and to retract the BBB...

But hey it's the Republicans fault cause they won't bend to the will of the Dems who would rather line their own pockets or send our tax dollars overseas.

Since this is about the left wanting to extend health care programs to illegal aliens, let me say this: Illegal aliens don't deserve a damn thing from us. The sooner they leave, the better. And if they leave on their own accord, they have the opportunity to come back legally. Otherwise, get out and stay out!

Also, lol "Republican shutdown". Riiiiight. The Senate needs 60 votes to pass this thing. The hold up is on the Democrats. Get it right, leftists. (But you won't.)

He has me on ignore. He says we "can't quit him". But he directly responds to me more than I directly respond to him, which is almost nil at this point. (And no, providing commentary doesn't count as responding to anybody.) lol

I respond to Tom because he's easy to make fun of. He reminds me of my leftist ex girlfriend, an angry loser who blames conservatives and Republicans for her problems. He's a loser just like her who doesn't deserve anything good in life.

just EXPOSED Democrats' POLITICAL GAMES during the Gov. Shutdown.

"President Trump announced we will REOPEN operations at the Farm Service Agency, which helps farmers across Arkansas process loans and work on other farm programs."

"What are the Democrats up to during the shutdown? They are on the 17th or 18th straight hour of prattling on the Senate floor."

I hate leftists because they hate me, mlb, and I'm starting to hate you because you take their side.

WHY THE **** SHOULD I BE NICE TO SOMEONE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE POLITICAL SPECTRUM WHEN THEY HATE ME AND WANT ME DEAD SIMPLY FOR EXISTING AND HAVING A DIFFERENT OPINION?!?!?!?!?!?

This thing is real simple.... You have been told what you are getting, there are more than 50 votes in the yea. You vote no, you are the problem.

Trump TOLD EVERYONE he was not supporting programs that fund illegals.... He also said he was not supporting any of the other WASTE like public broadcasting. You ain't getting it.

That's your problem. Business doesn't rely on government. We had a near terrorist attack in Atlanta this week. A guy who was planning to shoot up the airport was arrested in the terminal. That's a real issue. Plus we have had some really nasty weather around the country this week. LaGuardia was shut down for high winds.

Republicans are all voting to reopen and talk. It takes a twisted mind to blame it on only the Republicans.

Yup, when every Republican is voting to keep the government open at current spending levels (even a couple of democrats are voting with them making it bipartisan)----and almost every Democrat---including the Democrat leadership---is voting to keep the government closed-----its hard to see how anyone can blame the Republicans. 04-cheers
