I'll echo that amen. The only one who was worth debating was bill dazzle because he was actually respectful and even somewhat conciliatory on certain points. He doesn't post here very much either, but when he does, it's a breath of fresh hair. (He might actually be a true centrist. I don't know.)

Just taking the cash is not a crime, that's why he was never charged with anything. It would only become a crime if you can prove he took the cash in exchange to do an official act and then actually did the official act. If a person says they are going to do it, take the cash and then just don't do it there's no crime according to federal bribery laws and the Supreme Court's insane interpretation of them. You have to be the biggest moron on the planet to find a way to actually get a bribery charge to stick in this country.

The mental atomic bombs that will go off if the R's can hold on to the House and Senate in mid terms is going to be like nothing we have ever experienced on earth.

I voted for that!

Homan is as good as gone.

Pretty neat on the part of the administration. Even if the video surfaces, which by his clever wordplay Homan is at least cognizant of that possibility, then Homan never acted on the bribe, so he is technically correct that he didn't do anything illegal. He just received a $50,000 gift in a CAVA (that's a low level quick service restaurant) in a paper bag. Totally normal for high level government employees.

You guys will explain it away, or even better call it a "witch hunt" or weaponizing the FBI and we'll have this dirty employee until Trump leaves, if he leaves.

You are really gullible. Try reading Cardinal Jim's post above yours.

Also, are they really going to give out 50k in cash on a fishing expedition that won't pay off for months?

It doesn't pass the smell test. Maybe the FBI agents stole the 50k.

1. not really the gullible side, i'm sure you looked at "they're eating the dogs, they're eating the cats" with trepidation

2. $50k is not that much money, they've used a lot more in investigations.

I'll simply ask you, if your wife asked you if you took the last cookie out of the cookie jar, would you answer "i've done nothing illegal, i've done nothing criminal" or would you simply say "I didn't take the cookie" (or "I did take the cookie" if applicable)

he wasn't on that payroll then ... nahhhhh ... no way it was weaponization of bidet* FiB...

I hope he retires in 20 yrs from his current position ... that'll keep y'all busy trying to untie those britches that are currently knotted up to hell and back...

i'll admit without the video its believable, but shaky. Homans own response is what clues to the existence of the video. If he never accepted the money, he would just say that since its the most clear denial.

If the video comes out it'll be very interesting. I won't hold my breath on the Trump administration deciding to release the files in a show of transparency.

Why would that be "interesting"?

You think 50 grand is a worthwhile sum to toss his 40year LEO career down the tubes?

50k?!? I'd think not. Not just not, but no way in hell.

50 grand, pffffftttt. Our other spooks toss around millions like bubble gum to trick or treaters.

Yet another epic fail on the loons part.

stick to useless tax returns instead. K? Thx.

And it was probably about the same amount of cash. 50k was real in '72 or whenever that went down.

Unrelated fun fact, I once parked Agnews car when working in Ocean City Md, late model Caddy IIRC. Also parked Johnny U's van sometime later. Didn't even know who he was until they checked out. Gave a nice, crisp 40 buck tip, though.

Yep.

He even tried to retread the tired, wholly debunked Qatari jet bribe hoax.

Sad. Quite sad.
