Both are completely insane statements.
two sides of the same coin man. There is very, very real political violence in this country that needs to be addressed. And the first step is to stop the hyperbole and focus on the real ******* nuts that are among us.
yes we actually agree here. people need to turn the tv off, turn off social media and go talk to your neighbors. Go talk to your local officials. Theres crazies out there but 99.9999% of people from right or left don't want any violence or political violence in this country.
This kind of rhetoric is very dangerous. You can go on reddit or bluesky and see the exact same kind of rhetoric just against conservatives. When you think "the other side" is literally out to kill you, you start doing stupid, dangerous and unthinkable things.

"Policatal violence is politcal cowerdice. It means that you cannot convince people of the correctness of your ideas and you have to impose them through force."
I've been saying this for years and have heard it said countless times over the past 36 hours...you can't call your opponents Fascists or Hitler for 10 years and then act shocked when someone tries to, or actually does, kills them.
It's a nice gesture by Bernie now, but he and his ilk all have blood on their hands over this. They opened a door I'm afraid they won't be able to close. The fringe on the left has been pushed, or allowed to push, too far.
Bernie, AOC and the other leftist prog filth politicians have cancelled all of their public appearances for fear of violence. You preach it you get it.

Republicans particularly MAGA have to do a better job seperating themselves from fascism.
Facism is characterized by:
dictatorial leader: check
centralized government: check
suppression of opposition: check
militarism: not there yet but sending the military out to cities might qualify
subordination of individual interests to state: debateable.
intense nationalism often tied to perception of national decline: double check with a side of triple check
Propaganda and a cult of personality: woo boy.
Economic control: check
This is unfortunate reality for many of you on here. Donald trumps regime does check most of the boxes for textbook fascism.

I don’t think the Trump administration checks any of your boxes. I think you have watched too much Maddow. Now the Biden administration? Certainly the suppression of the opposition box is a big checkmark.

Yet it was a conservative who was assassinated for voicing his views and trying to engage in debate. It was Trump who had two assassinations attempted on him.
The left marches in lockstep and tries to shout down or kill those that oppose them. That is fascism.

no doubt online radicalization on the far left is a problem. And i'll certainly agree that anyone that resorts to political violence is wrong. You are leaving out that 2 democratic state senators were just assassinated in their own home, a prominent spouse to a democratic leader was attacked too.
I'll wait to hear how this young man was radicalized, i'm very curious. With school shooters, even the 2 white nationalists who shot up a black church and shopping area there were warning signs (both were also radicalized online by far, far right communities) Were there similar warning signs. I'd find it scarier if there were none.
either way, go to any dictionary or history book and look up fascism and tell me the pieces don't fit with the trump administration.

Thats what this brainwashed clown does not want to talk about. The right universally condemns such things, the left has people everywhere right now all over social media celebrating the assignation of Charlie Kirk and even the dems in congress throw a temper tantrum over a moment of silence for him.
The left is all about dehumanizing their political opposition which is a central hallmark of fascism. ANYONE who votes for or remotely supported Trump is labeled as a fascist, Hitler, racist, etc. They purposely dehumanize anyone who disagrees with them and when you strip your opponents of their humanity violence against them is not only warranted its now justified. And that is where we are now with this assassination, the attempted assassination of Trump and much of the lefts gleeful reaction to it.
So tell us again who the fascists are here.

Leftists want conservatives dead. Plain and simple. They'll put conservatives in concentration camps and gas them to death, or worse. Then, if and when they get caught, and they are forced to answer for it, they'll deny it.

maybe far left violent revolutionaries who want communism. Importantly, the democrats in power and close to power are run of the mill. Whats the cult of personality around Biden?
Trumps cult of personality is so strong there's a guy in another thread claiming he has special insoles for his bone spurs so he can continue thinking of Trump as some sort of almost hero who would have been a great solider (the best) instead of a rich draft dodger who then called soliders who died in Europe losers and suckers.

I know what he'll say, but it's not the truth. And last I checked, fascism, socialism, and communism were all part of the left-wing political philosophy even though the left has said and continues to say otherwise. Charlie Kirk was no fascist.

Charlie Kirk himself joked that a "patriot" should pay the bail of the man who attacked Paul Pelosi.
this extreme victimhood is a hallmark for radicalization. The people celebrating political violence are crap people, but that doesn't make them "fascists" it makes them bad people.
If you don't want to be called fascist, tell me how what Trump is doing is not fascist.
Look up the definition and give me examples. No one does because they look it up and go "holy **** it is fascist, but I can't go back now and i'm one of the good ones, they couldn't possibly turn against me"

You have proven beyond all doubt that you are suffering from terminal end stage TDS.
We just lived though 4 full years of the Biden government trying to throw Trump and anyone connected with him in prison and remove him as political opposition through lawfare (a hallmark of fascism). Blatant suppression of opposition through state sponsored media (Hunter Biden laptop, auto pen POTUS, Dementia coverup, etc)
And now when they lost in a free and fair election all they can do is scream FASCISM and hope their mentally struggling followers take up arms and assassinate their political enemies for them and you all cheer it on gleefully.
You and your party and its ideology are pure evil.
You have deeply damaged an entire generation of youth with your trans ideology, your pharmaceuticals for healthy children, your destructive and satanic 5th wave feminism and dehumanization of anyone who dare disagree with your radical agenda and blatant destruction of the nuclear family.
