lol A story from over eight years ago written by a Democrat-approved legacy media outlet.

Try harder.

How he treated people before politics when he didn’t get a reward for not being a scumbag is much more the real Trump.

And you preferred the idiot Harris? Following on to 4 years of a vegetable with an auto pen?

Forgive me if I refuse to take any link you post at face value.

What the article does not address is whether any of them actually did the work that they contracted to do, in accordance with the contract provisions.

trump fires multiple federal inspectors general in overnight purge

They also are likely to fire thousands of IRS employees. That should help find fraud. 03-zzz

They evidently weren't doing a very good job of it given what's being found currently. That seems to be how we got where we are though. If a department is not doing it's job or is not operating efficiently go ahead and hire more to do the same.

I've been harping on this for years now. I'm all for finding and getting rid of waste. But have always said that it takes a lot of money and effort to find it and fix the systemic causes of it. It will take a pragmatic approach to find it and to change things. They way elmo and trump are doing it is insane and will likely be horribly ineffective.

Why would it? Look at some of the abject stupidity we were sending taxpayer funding out to. What more needs done that shut it off. We do not need to pay for circumcisions in Africa. We do not need to fund Sesame Street in Iraq.
The democrats answer to everything is more money. Student test scores low? Send more money but ignore the fact we spend more per student than those with better test scores. Wasteful spending? Spend more money to address the issue that has received lip service but no action. Trump said he would address it and he's doing it and what they are finding is indefensible.

Because they don't appear to be putting any thought into it. Why fire IG's who find issues? They likely weren't all incompetent. Train them or add more inspectors, or at least perform an actual valuation of them. Doing this will likely only open up more avenues for fraud.

And how many people did they just fire only to realize that, oh ****, we need these people? People who worked on nukes and such.

Sure, they are free to cancel programs they don't like or see as ineffective, but they were legal programs with funds approved by congress. But the monies for these things were mere peanuts in the grand scheme. And they bolstered our standing in other parts of the world. And lots of them dealt with trying to stop diseases and sickness and **** that if left unchecked could make it to our shores eventually.

Bwhahahaha

Bwhahahaha

I can't stop laughing, your an effin meme

Mere weeks into this and clowns like you and the pols like the old loudmouth black lady and AOC and that stupid moron from Texas who acts ghetto when she isnt.... don't like the approach.

Who gives a flying ****. Zero approaches have worked in 40 years dummy. Rolling through these departments is what's needed and some of them you do it fully and basically start from scratch. You then bring back in fresh faces and sometimes people who yes... were part of the RIF. But they come back to new rules and guidelines and processes and leaders and if they don't like it or want to operate that way.... then turn around and walk your ass to your car.

The time for patty cakes is over.

Circumcisions and Sesame Street aren't likely to bolster our standing and last I checked nuclear weapons are maintained by the military. There may be some civilian oversight but I doubt any were in jeopardy.
You want to continue down the path that has lead us to where we are. It didn't work before and won't now. We are going to have to experience short term pain for the long term health of our country. Kicking the can down the road has been the answer up to now.

No I didn't. Did it explain how paying for Sesame Street in Iraq endeared us to them and was not a waste of money? I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find an article that explains how any one of these examples of stupidity is legit and should be continued. The sad part is some will read such an article nodding their heads in agreement despite the obvious waste it is.

Guessing you didn't actually look at the story I posted a few weeks back about that Sesame Street program, did you?

No I didn't. Did it explain how paying for Sesame Street in Iraq endeared us to them and was not a waste of money? I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find an article that explains how any one of these examples of stupidity is legit and should be continued. The sad part is some will read such an article nodding their heads in agreement despite the obvious waste it is.

I don't know how anyone can be a Christian and pro-life and not see a benefit to programs like these, for a small price to one of the richest nations:

Not to mention the DOGE original claim misses facts...which seems to be a feature and not a bug.

Quote:However, the claim appears to conflate a kids' TV show featuring "Sesame Street" characters and broadcast in Arabic across numerous countries, including Iraq, with a USAID-funded educational project called Ahlan Simsim Iraq. An archived page from the USAID website shows the agency provided funding for Ahlan Simsim Iraq in 2021. The name "Ahlan Simsim" applies to both the TV show and an early childhood development program targeting families in conflict zones.

The archived USAID webpage said the agency would provide $20 million in funding to Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit behind "Sesame Street," between July 2021 and June 2027 to produce Ahlan Simsim Iraq, the early childhood development program.

A Sesame Workshop spokesperson said via email that the "Ahlan Simsim" TV show is funded separately from the Ahlan Simsim Iraq early childhood development program. They added that only the latter received USAID money.
