Idk, one could argue Trump/Vance should not have gotten heated on camera, but as a professional actor Zalensky is no stranger to performance. He intentionally poked the bear to garner sympathy from the media and the hard-core American Left. Zalensky’s comments seemed like something I’d hear and see on Jerry Springer or The Real Housewives. He even threw down a Russian curse word.

When Trump said that it was a tragedy that people on both sides were dying, Zelensky interjected that the Russians were the invaders.

For his part, Trump made clear that the US would continue delivering military aid. All Zelensky had to do was remain calm for a few more minutes and they would've signed a deal.

The argument started when Trump pointed out that it would be hard to make a deal if you talk about Putin the way Zelensky does. Vance interjects to make the reasonable point that Biden called Putin names and that didn't get us anywhere.

The Zelensky/Trump dynamic was calm and stable. It was when Vance spoke that Zelensky started to interrogate him. Throughout the press conference to that point, everyone was making their arguments directly to the audience. Zelensky decided to challenge Vance and ask him hostile questions. He went back to his point that Putin never sticks to ceasefires, once again implying that negotiations are pointless. Why on earth would you do this? Then came the fight we all saw.

Zelensky was minutes away from being home free, and he would have had the deal and new commitments from the Trump administration. The point Vance made was directed against Biden and the media, taking them to task for speaking in moralistic terms. This offended Zelensky, and that began the argument.

I've been a fan of Zelensky up to this point, but this showed so much incompetence, if not emotional instability, that I don't see how he recovers from this. The relationship with the administration is broken. Ukraine should probably go with new leadership at this point.

Let me put it this way for everybody to understand. Zelenskyy showed his ass and Trump (and Vance) took him to the woodshed and whipped it.

Also, I had to run an errand or two while the boards were down so I had Clay Travis (and Buck Sexton) on today. (I have Buck in parentheses because he was on in the first hour, then took the rest of the day off because he's getting ready for the arrival of his first child.) Travis said that Trump is basically saying that it's impossible for Ukraine to win this war as it stands right now. Based on that, why should we keep giving Ukraine hundreds of billions of dollars to fight a war we know they're not able to win? He reiterated that on The Story with Martha MacCallum. And frankly, he's right. Besides, like Trump told Zelenskyy, without our help as it is, the war would've been over in two weeks, maybe even less.

Zelenskyy needs to quit acting a like a petulant little child and be grateful Trump is trying to SAVE HUMAN LIVES by doing what he can to put an end to this stupid ass war. But he's a little ***** so...to hell with him.

Oh, and one more thing. Trump is a typical Gemini. We give the same energy we're given. You give us kindness, we give it back. You give us crap, we give it back. Simple as that. Don't like it? Don't give us crap to begin with.

As Vance noted, Zelenskyy literally campaign for the opposite last Fall and he had the nerve to not show respect

Trump and Vance accused Zelensky of not wanting peace by rejecting a ceasefire. I think Zelensky was trying to explain that they had a ceasefire before and Russia broke it. Why should they trust Russia if there are no consequences to them violating Ukrainian sovereignty?

All he was asking was "What if Russia breaks the ceasefire?"

SoMs Eagle: Saving human lives -- I repeat, SAVING HUMAN LIVES! -- should be first and foremost. Both Russia and Ukraine are at a stalemate. Both sides should agree to a ceasefire RIGHT NOW and figure out where the line will be drawn later. And something that needs to be brought up is this: BOTH TRUMP AND ZELENSKYY AGREED TO A DEAL THAT WAS IN WRITING! All that needed to happen was for it to be signed, and then Zelenskyy picked that moment to pull this crap? I'd be livid, too. If you want to try to add last-minute things to it, do it before you go in front of the cameras and the press. Period. End of story.
