Its not just liberal white women who are crazy. Liberal Black women are too.

It tells you who the Democratic ads were targeting. 7 in 10 Black female voters were afraid Trump would lead to authoritarianism. The good part is:

"...But now, with Trump set to return to office in two months, some Black women are renewing calls to emphasize rest, focus on mental health and become more selective about what fight they lend their organizing power to...."

Because its clear these women ARE crazy.

I realize how often my observations/comments cut “against the grain” on this site. And it is happening again.

I live in a dark-blue community. Unlike those of you who post here regularly - - who apparently don’t deal daily with “soy boys” and other emasculated men - - I am surrounded by them. If I limited my close friendships to only those who voted for Trump this past election, I literally would only need one hand to count them. And I suspect that I could spare to lose one (and maybe even two) fingers.

That’s pathetic. And I envy the lot of you who live in communities with a much healthier set of American males.

Until I read a thread like this one. What in the world is wrong with the women in your communities? Norfolk may have a problem with testosterone-lacking men, but I can only think of a small handful of women I know that fit the description of what you poor guys claim to live with. That doesn’t necessarily mean that they are Trump voters, but they know how to think for themselves. With just a single exception (my retired-teacher neighbor across the street), I’ve not witnessed a single female meltdown post-election.

One example (and I don’t know her personally, so I hope that she will forgive me for citing her here): look at any post by Dancing Monarch. That is what the typical Norfolk woman behaves like. Much like my wife and most of her set of friends and acquaintances.

My community very much needs to work on its wimpy-man problem. But it seems to me that you guys need to figure out why you live with or are surrounded by such sad-sack women.

AM, who are you talking about? I don't think most of us who live in red areas ever encounter women like that. My impression is these are observations from afar, lol.

I can tell you that other then my sister and niece, who live in Memphis and DC respectively, I don't know a single Dem voter. I live in a small town in East Central Bama with a pop of about 5 K, but up close to much larger towns. Close to JR, and where Shere is from originally.

I have maybe 50 relatives on my wife's side who live close, and I regularly interact with others in the community. Plus I served on jury duty last December.

Not only do I not know a Dem voter, I have never seen a Dem sign (been here for 10+ years), so I have no clue what women you are referring to.

Like I said, I think these are observations from afar, but maybe I'm wrong.

AM, I'm the same as Andy. Most of the women I know are rednecks and I really don't have a problem with their politics. That said, I don't like them any more than their woke counterparts. Making sammiches is about all any of them are good for and I can make a better sammich.

Ha, I don't feel that way at all. Most of the women in my wife's family work, they are strong, intelligent women, and a good number of them are drop dead gorgeous.

I love all of them, and vice versa. Our local family is huge, as my wife has 5 siblings and they all have big families. Thanksgiving get-togethers have drawn up to 55 peeps. I am also now the oldest living member of the entire family. Not that it's an honor anybody actually wants, lol.

I have some deep blue family members, particularly my sister and young female cousins on my dad’s side. Two of the cousins are beside themselves and one appears to be clinically depressed. She spent a week in bed after the election. She came out as bu-sexual a couple years ago and her sexuality and progressive politics is her religion. She truly believes Trump is going to send in troops to imprison her. She clearly has mental health issues.

This thread, by definition, invites generalized comments - - about black women in particular, but some of the posts expand that to American women as a whole. What you guys are seeing does not match what I do - - including in my very blue community. I see women who for the most part are plenty tough, regardless of their political leanings.

I have no doubt that women in redneck regions are made of tougher stuff than those who live in urban/blue communities. It would make sense for that to be the case. But, at least based upon the comments that I am reading on this thread - - and on many other threads like it - - I think you guys have an unfair assessment of American women generally. And especially about black women - - many of whom face social and economic challenges that others don't.

Just my (unpopular, I know) observation.
