It will take several months to hold special elections. The seats go empty until then.

Right now, if the Rs wind up with 221, they will be down to 216 temporarily, while the Ds are at 214. You can't even lose one vote at that point, so nothing will get done.

AND...there is no such thing as a cinch district win. These all should be safe, but what if...

He could have found other qualified nominees without doing this.

At best, it is going to slow down Trump's agenda getting passed.

Thats what Im thinking. I wish he'd find some good candidates in folks who lost close races (someone like Kari Lake for instance).
