Funny CNN take - they have a current story about the 10 richest Americans getting $64 billion richer on Wednesday’s market. They ignore the the fact that the 1,500 point gain increased total market value by over $1.8 trillion and $1.736 trillion didn’t go to those 10 people.

I got a small chunk of it.

Would be a not so good investment, imo. The recent election revealed that the MSM no longer holds the sway it used to in driving political opinion.

Twitter wasn't a good investment. How'd that work out for us?

The difference I saw is that, going fowards, politicians are going to have to devote more time on media such as podcasts, social media (X), etc than on MSM. In that sense, I think Twitter will turn out being a better-looking investment over time.

when one is almost worth $1T on paper, the revenue stream is basically moot ... what's important is 1A still lives within the man from South AhhfreaKKKa ...

I'm thinking that if he were to ever do that, he could clean house like he did when he took over Twitter, now known as X, and actually get it back to having some real journalistic standards. But will he? Probably not, especially not right now.

I think Elon has plenty to do without taking on another job.

This, too, considering he's going to be helping Trump cut down the size of government. Ideally, they'll cut it in half, but even just getting rid of some of the nonsensical bureaucracies will go a long way. The point is they should at least start the job, and hopefully, Vance can get elected to finish it.

Oh I dunno, Elon firing almost everyone won't take more than a couple of days.

I agree. But it could work if he had somebody in mind to run it and thus wouldn't have to be fully hands-on. But I haven't seen any discussion of buying CNN being a real possibility outside of this thread so I'm moving on.

I saw on another site people talking about Elon buying ABC.

I think "people" just make most of this up.

I think I'd rather him buy the Tennessee Titans from Amy Adams Strunk and give the Cal and Hannah McNair (and the City of Houston) everything related to the Houston Oilers, then offload the Titans to someone else so Bud Adams' descendants no longer have a say in anything involving either NFL franchise. lol
