He also said in court he only made about $3K a month. And a piece I read said he was working in Hawaii "mostly as a handyman." And his GF's house doesn't look like much in the photo I saw.
Yet he supposedly spent 6 months in Ukraine, and he flew from Hawaii to Florida to try to kill Trump?
Something isn't adding up.

I guess it's all relative, but he said he is making $3000 a week. That's a $156,000 a year not really broke but might be if you live in Hawaii.
I guess the $3000 a week I read from AP was a typo TripleA saw $3000 a month

I must have misread another story that said he made $3,000 per month.

Well, I could always be wrong, too, but it was in the context of Routh asking for a public defender, so I'm thinking the $3K a month is probably right.

He really *shouldnt* qualify for a public defender even at $36,000 per year.

This is true.. (although i Think it differs as he's a candidate again). Family members of former US presidents are given one agent (maybe two) and former US presidents are given one "team" of SS members. (but I don't know how many make a team)

RE: TRUMP SHOT
So a piece on Fox News online now says that Routh was pointing his rifle at Trump when the SS agent opened fire on Routh.
Quote:Trump will rally supporters at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum Wednesday evening – just days after the U.S. Secret Service opened fire on an armed man who pointed a rifle at him from the perimeter of his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.

RE: TRUMP SHOT
Trump got lucky again. That perimeter in the woods by the street should never have been accessible while Trump was anywhere near there.
It was the perfect place for an ambush. I looked up the course layout online. The 5th green and the 6th tee sit near the intersection of a small service road, and S. Congress Ave., very close to an I-95 on ramp, which is exactly where Routh headed for an escape.

I hear there's one on this board that does pro bono work. And he seems to have a vested interest in all things against Trump.
If he can afford to fly to Ukraine and live there for 6-8 months and then fly from Hawaii to Palm Beach, FL and live there for who knows how long, he has resources somewhere. Logic says someone with as many arrests as him doesn't have the credit to finance the taxes on a pack of gum much less have a credit card. So, he has cash to fill a pre-paid card or someone is providing him a pre-paid card to get plane tickets. I will hold my breath for when we will get an outline of when and how he got to Palm Beach, FL.

Also, not sure what his bond will be (should be north of a million due to several reasons) but if he can post that kind of bond, that usually means he has to hire his own attorney as well.

Could very well be a no bond possible issue. And rightfully so.
Doesnt seem to have deep ties to the community, has attempted a crime of political violence, has prior convictions on firearms issues, and has shown a large propensity to hightail it to foreign countries to engage in the war.
I think there is a decent basis that a fed Magistrate could deem this guy an excessive flight risk and simply hold him with no bail.
