TN State Senator vs Shelby County DA
You may already be aware, but State Senator Brent Taylor (representing my district) intends to file a resolution to remove radical leftist Shelby County DA Steve Mulroy. Shelby County includes Memphis and other communities represented by Taylor.

Recently journalist Katherine Burgess published the following article.

State Sen. Taylor is seeking to oust DA Mulroy. The move is rooted in misinformation

Burgess sent an email with questions and Sen. Taylor responded via email. He says the article misrepresented his answers and he's gone full nuclear to set the record straight. The X post below includes a link to those questions and answers.

Is the Shelby County DA an elected position or appointed?

In the damn tweet. Reading. Its cool.

..."recently announced I would utilize Article VI, Section 6 of the Tennessee State Constitution which allows for the removal of a District Attorney by the General Assembly. The few people who have been critical of my decision claim I am attempting to overturn an election. Everyone’s right to vote and participate in elections is found in the state constitution right alongside the provision requiring the General Assembly to remove District Attorneys who, in the General Assembly’s judgment, aren’t fulfilling their elected duties. As a matter of fact, the only officials the General Assembly has authority to remove in this manner, are specifically judges and district attorneys. So, my effort should not be viewed as an abuse of the constitution, but instead, it should be viewed as a use of the constitution."

Come on people

Come on people

Wiping my ass is more important than reading a twitter chain on Memphis. It's been a shithole since I lived there and left in 2004. Anyone that continues to live there should be fully accepting of what they are living in.

But did I say anything untrue? I still have family and friends that live there. Between this board and them I don't hear anyone proclaiming how amazing it is to live there. All they do is ***** about how terrible it is except for a few yuppies that live in midtown.

RE: TN State Senator vs Shelby County DA
Don't get me started. Four months ago, a shooter in another vehicle gunned down my older brother in cold blood while he was sitting in the passenger seat of my younger brother's truck.

The homicide investigators used CCTV footage and cell phone tracking data to place a suspect on the scene at the exact time the shooting occurred. He is a 21-year-old kid with no prior criminal history. About 6 weeks ago, the homicide investigation concluded, and the DA's office supposedly took over the case. I managed to track down someone in the Victim/Witness services unit once. I explained the case to her, and she asked if I knew the suspect's name so she could pull up the case file. I was like, uh, what??? No one has given us any information other than the very sparse details I mentioned. She then asked for a case number that we had yet to receive. I gave her both brothers full names and birth dates, and she could find nothing on the case but she informed me that once they accepted the case, they would process it, decide whether to indict or not and if so then issue a warrant and notify us.

That was the last communication we've had with the DA's office. Since the first conversation, I've called back multiple times and left voicemails with no response. I'm deeply concerned that the charges against this young man, who has no prior criminal history, may not be appropriate, and if they are, his punishment may not be just.

So sorry TB4E for the loss of your brother and having to go through this waiting for justice. Waiting for just a damn response. Prayers for you and your family brother.
