Thats what I was thinking. We literally pay farmers not to plant. But Im not aware of us paying farmers to dump out milk. It happened some in the pandemic---but that was only because demand dropped so much from schools and restaurants. Some dairy farmers had nobody to sell to for a while when their normal supply chain demand simply vanished overnight.

My guess is the Canadian gov is planning to run individuals out of business and take over production of not only milk, but eventually the whole food supply.

If dairy farmers keep dumping milk, they will have to reduce the herds or go out of business. JMO.

During the pandemic, they were dumping b/c the supply chain couldn't get their perishable product to consumers fast enough. Nobody was paying them to dump it, AFAIK. And I haven't read anywhere that Canada is paying them now, either.

Correct. I was not implying we paid farmers to pour out milk. Just that they did have to pour out milk because they had no other option for a short period of time.

We measure in gallons, not liters.

And by that did you mean .223 vs 5.56x45 ?

Umm, yes, haha. I was just making a nerd joke.

I need a .223.

Well, of course.

It’s what the Castros are well schooled in. If you’re an “educator” or wear smart people glasses, you best pack up and flee to Nova Scotia or somewhere.

Not here, we’re all full up…

No it's not. Old guys do like to say it from their Lazy Boy, though.

We old guys come from a generation where most have already served our nation. The only thing we fight now is our aches and pains. It's time for you Schiff heads to come through.

So milk in Canada is roughly $28 a gallon? Right now?

Not buying that part of the story.

Agree, but it's in Canadian dollars, so that knocks it down a bit. Exchange rate is 1.357.

But still an exaggeration.

The last figure I can find in May 2023, it was $3 a litre, not $7. Can't find a more current price.

At any rate, that likely doesn't change the fact they have quotas and he is dumping a lot of milk. And there is no obvious reason for doing so that I can see.

IDK. Not in Europe, so far. The Netherlands is forcing farmers to quit, and Ireland is having them slaughter millions of cows.

They are protesting, but not really pushing back in any forceful way.

Canada seems to be going down the same road. Look what Trudeau did to the truckers last year.

Here, thanks to decades of brainwashing our young people, 40-50% of our population thinks it's okay to censor "hate speech.," which is anything that hurts their feelings. Free speech is dying.

If you watched that video here where they asked new enlistees why they joined the military, most said to get free food and/or not have to work so hard.

In a separate poll, only about 18% (iirc) of younger people say they have any pride in this country. Most think we are a bad country.

The Dems are going to win again in 2024, no matter who runs, b/c they're going to declare another emergency and use mail-in ballots to cheat in the swing states.

We're screwed. Most of us who are worried about it are older, and we know what this country was when we were young. In 5 more years, that country won't exist.

We already have lost the universities, the major corps, the media, the military, the libraries, the unions, the entire federal bureaucracy, etc.

The DOJ is now weaponized against us, and we have blatant unequal justice.

Millions continue to pour across our border, with the majority eventually voting for the Dems.

We're the biggest debtor nation in the world, and the USD is being devalued more every day.

Our schools are producing nothing but useful idiots.

Kruschev was right. America is going to crumble without a shot ever being fired.

Meanwhile, people will still be bitching, including some on here, about how evil Trump is.

There is not going to be a civil war, or an amicable split. Our side is going to roll over and quit. Not enough of us care. Hell, almost half the country thinks it's a good thing for the Dems to rule.

I'm just glad I'm old. I feel bad for my grandkids.

If people get hungry it will happen

And it will happen within a few days.

Nope. By that point, the evil empire will be firmly in control.

It'll be just like the Canadian truckers. Make an example out of a few, beat them, throw them in jail, freeze their bank accounts, threaten their families, and the rest will go home.

I'm old (75), overweight, and have prostate cancer. I married late, so I have one son, and he lives in Japan. He and his G/F have not yet married and do not yet have kids, so I have no grandkids. I think I'm lucky in all those respects.

Yup.

And to try to correct it all the lemmings are lining up to follow Trump over the cliff in 24'. We get the government we deserve.

Because we have handguns and rifles, and can kill and eat venison? This isn't 1776.

See how the DOJ is treating its perceived political enemies right now (J6, Trump) and getting away with it?

And trust me, if we act up too much, and the evil empire stays in charge, eventually they can isolate you electronically, keep you from holding a job, buying groceries, making bank transactions, buying gas or purchasing electricity, etc.

They can seize your assets, even jail you on trumped up charges like they did the J6 people, and they will eventually pack the SC, and nobody will be left to save us. They can cut off our food supplies. That's what started this thread.

I'm not saying this is going to happen soon, but that sure as hell is the path the crazies in charge right now are trying to blaze.

The only way to stop them is to vote them out of power. How's that going so far?

There is this ancient book slowly penned by some 40 different people over 1500 years that laid all this out in the last parts.

At this point its virtually impossible to deny the truth of that book, the fact that so many continue to look the other way suggests the truth is not nearly as important to people as what makes them happy in the short term.

Denying fact and objective truth is not just a problem on the left, its a problem across the board.

As depressing as the fall of America is for us older cats, its important to keep things in context. This fallen world man has made for himself has always had an expiration date set by the Creator, and what awaits those who have put their faith and trust in Him is infinitely superior to anything in this dying world.

One of the main things that old book tries to get us to do is see these things from HIS perspective instead of ours, because our perspective is so limited and short sighted and won't ever matter again after we pass and go to Him. But His will last forevermore.

More government "plans." Stanley and son Boris Johnson both work for the WEF now.

Another "Big Brother" slant. This is funny and not funny, at the same time. Click and read all the way through.

Maybe .... MAYBE ..... that guy is a legit Canadian farmer wanting a free and open market.

But most Canadian dairy farmers are the exact opposite of that. Canada has had the most sheltered, protected, and welfare coddled dairy industry on Earth since the 1970s. They set production quotas domestically. They set import quotas internationally which send prices through the roof on imports. And so you get Canadian dairy farmers pouring out **** loads of milk, foreign farmers not able to import anything, and $7/gallon milk in Canada with virtually none of the dairy farmers able to lose under the scheme.

Good points. But it's still not a good thing for govs to be manipulating markets, whatever the reason.
