And now it sounds like Dmitri Utkin was also on the plane. He was second in command for the Wagner Group.

Is there any doubt that the investigation will conclude that this was an unfortunate accident? Unless, of course, it serves one of Putin's purposes for the investigation to point the blame at one of Putin's political / domestic enemies, ukraine, or NATO.

It was either going to be that or an accidental fall out a window.

Sounds like confirmation that the coup was real. The best argument Ive heard for the Wagner march to Moscow being staged theater was Prigozhin still being alive. That argument is now gone. Next question---did the plane simply crash---or was it actually shot down.

They've been dead men walking for a while now.

Will be very interesting to see how the remaining Wagner forces react to this.

The risk of nuclear war just went down.

But now Russia is more stable because of this. War will last much longer.

Seriously, what was his end game in all that? I can't see how he'd start all that drama and just assume he could walk away, unless he really is just that dumb

It wouldn't surprise me if he just faked his own death.

Bottom line---the flat earthers around here that called the coup fake were wrong....again. lol----Im patient.

You know this has been in the works for a while. As I typed this you know Putin or one of his cronies has already been talking to others within the Wagner organization about incorporating those combatants into the Russian army. He probably needed to wait until that was done and then on the opportunity to get both these guys at once. Something along those lines, but I never doubted it and I'm sure a lot of people felt the same way that Prigozhin was not long for this world.

Really weird day. First Prigozhin is killed. Then---a fully intact and operational Russian Mi-8 helicopter loaded with fighter jet parts was landed by its pilot in Ukraine and surrendered. The Russian's claim the Russian pilot simply got lost----the Ukrainians claim the Russian pilot defected with the chopper and parts as a result of an intelligence operation inside of Russia. Regardless of who you believe---both sides apparently agree that an intact Russian Mi-8 helicopter loaded with fighter jet parts is now owned by the Ukrainians.

Okay it's been reported that Prigozhin was flying from Moscow to St Petersburg at the behest of Putin. He was scheduled to meet Putin at his residence.

A publication owned by Prigozhin has confirmed that he was on board along with other high-ranking Wagner commanders.

Ummm...this guy is still very much a huge enemy of Ukraine. They could have had a hand in this too.
