Probably a coincidence... If you believe in coincidence.

I know we need offensive line depth but Bullock is from FCS NC Central. I'm not losing any sleep over this one. We want dudes that want to be a Bearcat. I'd rather this happen now than later if he comes and doesn't buy in.

Jordan Young, former 4* CB from Florida just committed. Has three years left, in his lone start as a RS Freshman, had 4 tackles, a PBU, and a Blocked Kick in their bowl game against Oregon.

54 Houston - 86.95 avg rating
60 UCF - 87.32
64 BYU - 85.9
66 Cincinnati - 86.97

The bottom line is we are in line with the other three incoming B12 programs despite the coaching change.

People (myself included) tend to forget that there are some pretty darn good schools joining with us next year. Every week is going to be exciting, fun and competitive football, with or without OU and TX.

That is a helluva pickup. Highest 2023 recruit with the exception of Drogosh.

He’s technically not a 2023 “recruit” since he’s a transfer. I have no idea how they rank them differently since he was class of 2021.

Correct, but he's given a current ranking/rating as a transfer. Just like our Arizona St QB transfer's ranking is less than his ranking coming out of HS. They formulate their rating in "real time."

He got in just in the nick of time. I guess he didn't see his playing time opportunities balloon like the WR room recently. Best of luck moving forward young man.

That’s why you c any get excited about high school recruits anymore. Odds are they’ll never play for their first team.

Might just be scheme. He might not be a quick strike dink and dunk type of target.

Yeah, he is a deep threat, but didn't ever strike me in any of his film as a refined route runner. If our offense is anything like what they ran at App State, there are a lot of short and intermediate route combinations that require good feet and a significant understanding of the route tree.

I disagree. Roster continuity is a massive advantage but that doesn't happen in a coaching change. You do have to monitor your roster but if you develop a culture that players are excited to be a part of and develop a close team unit you'll keep the players you want to keep. Players weren't jumping to the portal the last couple years when I'm sure they could've had high profile opportunities because they wanted to be a part of what we had here.

I don't really think it makes sense getting excited about high school recruits anyways. I'm always happy to see our recruiting rankings go up and obviously want better players. I just think that best case scenario it usually takes a season to see how good they can be. For other players it's a few seasons and maybe a redshirt. Point being is that it takes awhile to see it come to fruition anyways so it's actually a bit more exciting to me to follow the transfer portal.

RE: Cincinnati Transfer Tracker
Although to be fair, when the program was in the dumps of 4 win seasons I got a lot more enjoyment out of Fickell building the roster, mostly cause there wasn't anything else going well. I remember being very excited for many of the guys who later on got drafted like Coby, Myjai, Whyle, Lenny T, etc. Before then I feel like we had a lot of 4 stars who burned out.

Kickoff specialist. Nice.

I wouldn't call him a specialist. He's more likely to kick it out of bounds than out of the end zone.

Little sour grapes!!! His stats last year show 6 touchbacks and one out of bounds. Coe for us had way more touchbacks (large number of extra kickoffs) and had four out of bounds.

Sour grapes? He was benched for a transfer from Miami.
