The
issue "is" and
will be Alo, until Penny learns how to coach without his little pitbull running around, gambling for steals....Yes, against ECU, it could save the team/coaches from a disastrous/humiliating defeat....E-C-frickin U
... These kamikazee actions inflate personal stats and cover for all other facets of the game the he is inept @ against ECU...However, these actions and the amount of minutes that he is relied upon, hinders the OVERALL effectiveness of the TEAM...
I'll form a question; Since we know whom our "starting" pg is....who is our "backup" pg
, we have Alo starting next to KD, when he should be spelling our starter.... The main reason that this team doesn't crescendo,is that players DON'T have roles, or understand them...There are spurts when this team looks like they could really gel and create some distance from their opponents, however more often than that, they look BAD....From the start....
When you see Kendrick & Alo on the floor together, there is "more" indecisiveness.... If you pass Alo the ball, his immediate thought process, is who do I pass it to next
....because he has "limited" offensive game....It doesn't matter what the time is on the shot clock, with 8 seconds or less on the clock, Alo will force a pass to DeAndre or Chandler, without realizing that a coach/defense will allow you to make that pass to these guys that far away from the basket, with little time on the shot-clock, as it's basically a turnover....
It's incredibly frustrating that the "only" player that has NOT had to earn his position and time on the court gets the MOST minutes and his mistakes have been dramatically overlooked, when clearly there are now and ALWAYS have been "better" options....You can rave all you want about Alo's steals against ECU.... We will see how far his antics take us in the AAC tournament
